As you well know,
I'm all about *glitter and rainbows* on my blog.
Fluffy clouds and unicorns.
But I can't keep my silence any longer on a
very real and sobering issue regarding older child adoptions in China.
If you are at all interested,
please go read THIS ARTICLE.
I can fully attest to its truth.

Ugh! That's so horrible!!! But not surprising, I guess, considering....
sunshine and rainbows...
train wrecks and such.
thank you for the timing in sharing this.
you're a blessing to me!
oh boy. wow. that was a disquieting read. thank you for making us aware of this. i am appalled. God bless you & those you know who live with a terrible reality.
WOW shocking but sadly not surprising! I have often questioned that my daughter is younger than China said. Her dentists says she is atleast 2 years younger than we were told. I thought a young man in a blog I read was several years older than reported. I bet he is one of the kids mentioned. I sure hope my China babies were not coerced away from their birth families!!!!!
i will never understand how people can do stuff like this...for what? money? the damage that is done to the child involved, their birth families and their adopted families is something only God can mend. thanks for sharing, Lori.
I read this too. I don't know why I was pretty shocked, even knowing that other kinds of scandals have gone on before. The good news is that since the cat is out of the bag, this kind of thing can have a better chance of being stopped. I only hope it doesn't stop desperately needed adoptions from happening. Oh, the crazy world we live in. : (
Sending much love to you, your children, and everyone dealing with these horrifically difficult issues.
Wow! Praying for you - what a load to carry.
I am so sorry Lori. Hugs and prayers.
Sheesh, I have no words. I really need to talk to you. I have finally husband convinced that an older child is the way to go.
What a load for the child to carry... Even if this is isolated one misled family is too many.
Thank you for posting this, for being involved, for sharing your story. Yet again, you amaze me (in a wonderful way)! Your comments on Bryan's blog show such great perspective. You are such a great mom and you can provide those 2 with the love and guidance to get through their pain.
