scooter news flash

Last Saturday as I was out shopping by *myself*
my hubby texted me and said,
"Macy is riding a scooter!"

Seriously, it was like a news flash.
And indeed it was!

It's serious business, folks.

And of course Lucy had to get into the picture.
As always.
Lucy isn't being Lucy if she doesn't worm her
way into the center of attention.
She's going to be a delightful teenager.
Delightful.
I keep telling my big kids that she will babysit
their kids and teach them all she knows.
It'll be so sweet.

Anyway,
it was good to see Macy having some kid-like fun!

a lucy funny

Last evening Lucy was sitting on the potty,
*since she's four, she really doesn't mind me telling you that*
when she was finished,
she yelled for Daddy to come wipe her.
Well,
I just automatically jumped up from
the couch and went to take care of her.

Upon my arrival she said,
"No, I want Daddy to wipe me!"

To which I said,
"Lucy, I can do it...Daddy is tired."

And she, in all seriousness, said,
"Why is Daddy so tired? Oh, I know...he's tired from sitting
in his big chair."

Bahahahaha.

a very special Easter

We had THE most delightful Easter!

Macy's very first Easter.
And she seemed to love it!

The kiddos woke up to a few goodies
in baskets...

My fancy fellas headin' off to the Easter breakfast at church.

Lucy in her new dress
(yep, I made it).

Two GORGEOUS Easter darlings!

The ladies of our house...
outside on a gorgeous morning before heading
to church.

At Ninny and Papa's house hunting for eggs.
It was serious business.

Macy quickly caught on to this fun
tradition!

My heart leaps when I see her smile!

No...Nick isn't mad.
This is his "I'm a stud" pose.

And here's Brenden's.

Back to work...

Yeah, I do look awfully pretty today, huh?!
(Bless her heart...she had on black flats but they were killing her feet!)

Brenden and Lucy checking out the loot.
My sweet girl and me.

Happy Resurrection Sunday!!

do you fold or roll?

That is my question for you today.

Fold, or roll?

Socks, that is.

As I recall, it was my very first load of laundry as a new bride,
22+ years ago,
that my sweet man quickly, but gently, requested
that I never
roll his socks, please and thank you.

I took it with much grace,
as any real woman at the ripe age of 19 would,
and never, ever, ever again rolled his precious socks.
For he, and he alone,
gets his socks FOLDED.

But as for the rest of my crew (including myself),
it's rolled, baby.

It's just how we, well...roll.

How about you?

Fold or roll?

**And yes, if you are wondering if I have completely
run out of things to blog about, you'd be right.
