my friday night [single brother in-law]

Last Friday night was Senior Night at our little high school.
How sweet of them to honor me like that!
Go Senior-Citizen-Lori!!

Oh wait.
I'm confused.

Anyway,
the seniors in HIGH SCHOOL and their parents were given the spotlight
before the football game.
It was so fun!

Look at me with my Nicky and K-Man!
Right there in the middle of the field.
See us??

Here we are again.
I am famous now!!!

Here is Nick with his girlfriend, Sarah.
So very cute, they are!!
Even though it makes my soul insanely bitter to think of sharing any
of my men-children with another gal.
Ahhhhhh!
Therapy will help, I'm sure.

Then back on the ranch later that night we ate cake and did some working out.

Brenden was determined to get Isaiah to do a pull-up.
(Brenden's home for fall break!)
And his plan failed.

The lil' dumpling just couldn't pull himself up.
Well, duh.

Then my SINGLE brother-in-law, Kenny took try at it.

He did like 50 of them.
Or somethin'.
STUD!!

AND Kenny also made a down-right sinful chocolate cake.
(He's single, girls!)

Did I mention that he's SINGLE?

My work here is done.

friday night lights

K-Man and I got to go to Nick's first high school football game on Friday night,
ALL ALONE!

Cute pic, right?
Even though it's sooo close.
(Remember, I'm rustic.)
(Nothing a little nip, tuck & Botox couldn't fix.)
(Don't hold your breath for that one.)

And we may or may not have had our passports
hanging around our necks.
With luggage in the backseat.

Never mind about that.

Looky at my Nicky!
#23, right there in the middle.
His very first football game since 6th grade!

It was a super fun night,
even though they lost.

Oh, and K & I did end up coming back home after all.
(No flights available.)
(Next time!)

friday night lights {homecoming}

Last night was the perfect night for a football game!
Cool, crisp and fall-ish in every way.

The inner-cheerleader in me quickly emerging.

Lucy...as you can imagine, loves every minute.

Go Eagles!!

Nick and his friend.
She's a very sweet girl.
And that's all I'm going to say about that.
Boohoohoo, my baby boy.

Lucy and her very best bud, Micaiah.

My good friend Angela.
Sorry you weren't posing, Mike.
But it's a cute pic of Ang so...I had to post it.

Lucy was pretty excited that we let her step on the painted
lines on the field. Exciting stuff.

Pure cuteness.

Eddie Eagle with two adoring fans.

And let me just tell you that unless you've experienced
a game of any kind with Brenden,
you just haven't lived.

This kid is hands down the best fan any team could hope for.
And the loudest.
VERY much the loudest.

Is it too late for me to look into an all-boys school?

Fun, fun, fun!!

Oh and we beat the Muleskinners (that's right, Muleskinners)
by a ridiculous amount.

No pics of Macy because she did most of the photography!

friday night lights

Guess what?

Macy ate her very first hamburger last night!
(Well, the first one we know of)

And...

she ate an entire half!

Then, the Americano theme continued with
her very first high school football game!!

She *loved* it!
In this case I think love means: chose to tolerate.

Here we are, the crazy fans!
I hope you appreciate this pic...
Lucy was the photographer and it's sheer luck that it turned
out, being that she holds the view finder
up to her forehead.

The sweetest 3 year old football fan ever.

Macy with her new friend, Holly (our pastor's daughter).

The night couldn't have been more perfect, I must say.
The game ended at half-time because we were
ahead 50 somethin' to 6.
Ahhh, every game should be so brief!
