Cell Phone Pics of My Moderately Exciting Life

 HEY, friends!

Happy Friday to ya!

It's super sunny and delicious here in Kansas, which is nice, and always 

puts me in an extra happy mood.

I was scrolling through my 2,133 cell phone pics and thought

I'd just share some with you, since my life is soooo moderately exciting!

Here we have Lucy driving.  Yes, she's only 10 years old, I realize.

But, when we were driving down the long driveway of our neighbors' house,

I couldn't resist scooting over when she said she wished she 

could drive.  She was shocked! 

This is one of my hens.  She has a limp and was being picked on pretty severely

by the others.  Girls are mean!  So, we separated her out, and she 

found her way to my kitchen window flower box.

And the rest is history.

This is her new spot where she sleeps every night.

It makes me so happy!

And she needs a name.  I'm thinking Phyllis.  Your thoughts?

This is us while K-Man shopped for light bulbs.

I think the expressions speak for themselves.

We love him anyway.

Did I already show you this?

Not sure.

But, I made this cake for a big party at the restaurant where I waitress occasionally.

 It is my personal policy never to reveal that I am the baker of the specialty cakes,

but when they point blank asked me WHO made it (because they LOVED IT!),

I told them.  They all applauded.  It was fun!  Then I took a selfie.

This is Isaiah at a spelling bee.

He made it to the third round, but lost with the word GRINNED.

Which everyone thought was hilarious because he is ALWAYS SMILING.

This is my recent grocery cart at Sam's.

I'm going again today and I do think a flatbed is in order.

And lastly, this is my latest picture of Lucy and Macy.

This is no illusion, folks...Lucy is outgrowing her QUICKLY!!

Cell Phone Pics

Here's a hodge-podge of my life recently, via cell phone pics:



I had to go to my neighbor's house this morning because when she was at my house the other day to buy eggs, one of my kitty cats climbed up into her car, unbeknownst to either of us.  It's been hiding & crying in her car engine area for the last couple days!  It comes out on occasion, but they haven't been able to catch it. So I went to try to rescue it, to no avail!  It dashed off into the woods.  Poor little thing is scared to death and I don't know if it will ever find its way back home.

What a sad story!

Anyway, this is the drive to her house.  Actually, this was taken when I went to her house to borrow her hot glue gun in an emergency ugly-Christmas-sweater making session.

I love Carla my neighbor.  She's handy to have close-by.

Sorry so blurry.  But I was driving Brenden's car late one night and every warning light that could have been on, was on!  And I wanted to document it for future reference, if necessary.   Crazy college student.  He has exactly one year to get his act together and start functioning as a civilized adult!

Lucy has been getting car-sick a lot lately.  So I had the bright idea to buy her some Dramamine!  We have decided not to go this route of anti-nausea again, for obvious reasons.

(She's sure to appreciate me putting this flattering photo online for the world to see.)

Cell Phone Pic Memory Lane

I was flipping through the pics on my ancient cell phone today,

and realized I had a few that told quite a story!

So I posted them here for your amusement and mine.

This one perfectly sums up every single homeschool day we have.

Lucy in charge, Isaiah frustrated at the one in charge.

Oh my goodness gracious, this one speaks loudly of love.

When K-man and I were on the road to Colorado this summer

for our romantic get away,

we stopped at McD's for breakfast and saw this ADORABLE old couple,

sitting closey-close, enjoying their morning coffee.

I tell you what.

They were the cutest things I've seen in forever.

And madly in love, clearly.

And this is K-man and me IN Colorado at McD's...at our romantic get away.
He was on the phone.

We are so up and coming and very romantic!

This is me clutching a bag of pork rinds on our way home from 

visiting Brenden at college.

I think my actions were perfectly acceptable in this situation.

This is me giving Lucy and Isaiah a ride back to the house from the mailbox.

They were thrilled by such excitement!

And this was my trek home from taking the kiddos to their homeschool classes last winter.

cell phone pic saturday {and lucy-bug has a bug}

Lucy-bug woke up with a bug.
Ugh.

The first thing she said to me this morning was,
"I can't see! I can't see!!"

Well,
I was a tad panic-stricken wondering what could have
blinded my baby in the night.

But uhhh, then I realized that her little almond-shaped eyes were
filled with glue-like sleep.

Poor little darlin'.

Fever.
Achy legs.
Cough.

Shivers.
Me...I have the shivers with the thought of
my little drama queen
having the flu
over the next few days.

No, it can't be.
It is just a 12 hour bug, right?
It must be.
It has to be.

Ok, so while she's asleep on the couch at the moment,
I thought I'd post something.

But what?
I do not know.

So I skimmed through my cell phone pics to find anything
the least bit interesting.

Didn't find much.

But here ya go.



This was a few months ago when Nick and Lucy discovered the ground
moving across the yard.
A mole, no doubt, caught in action.
They were both fascinated and picked and prodded at him (or her).
They never actually saw it but had fun anyway.

And here is a pic of me cutting my bloggy friend, Gayly's hair.
Sorry, Gayly...but I thought it was a cute pic
that Lucy took of us as she looked into the mirror.
Gayly lives just a couple hours away from me and we were tickled to
get a chance to get together and chat (and get a new do) over Christmas break.

trip to Home Depot.

Here is Lucy making one of the gazillion
faces she loves to make us laugh with.

Here is a pic I took driving down the road.
I was all alone and just had to capture the display
in the sky. It was fabulous.

And here I am at one of my many doctor's appointments
with Dr. Lucy.

medical treatments in her clinic.

And yes, that is a slight look of terror on my face.
