Breaking Free

And you thought I was kidding when I said I was going to start blogging more often!
Here I am again.

I wanted to share something with you real quick.
I'm redoing a Beth Moore study that I first did many years ago.
Breaking Free.
Long story short, I  just felt like God drawing me back to it.
And goodness, am I soaking in all the TRUTH!

Whether you are struggling with a stronghold in your life right now...
cause really, who isn't...or maybe you are in a very good place at the moment,
I think we all need to be reminded of this:

*Christ came to set the captive free--no matter what kind of yoke binds them.
*He came to bind up the brokenhearted--no matter what broke the heart.
*He came to open the eyes of the blind--no matter what veiled their vision.

Read Isaiah 61, you'll be blessed!
I'm not sure about you, but I take great comfort in knowing that the one true God
loves us NO MATTER WHAT, no matter where we've been, what we've done.
And He yearns to loosen the bondage that we struggle with.
That is just awesome!

Now, to leave you with a funny picture, since I can't stay serious for more
than five minutes:

beth moore and friends!

Last night was our big Beth-Moore-Girls'-Slumber-Party!

Much to our disappointment,
Beth declined the invitation to slumber with us.
Whatever.
She has no idea what she missed out on.

Anyway,
we started our evening out with dinner.

Big-girl table.
Teen-girl table.

Our friend Beth, doin' her thang.
Golly, it was so Spirit-filled and blessed!

I thought for sure that Beth would notice our fun group and ask us backstage afterwards.
I guess me rushing the platform might not have been the best approach to gain her attention.
She just doesn't get me.

Moving on.

After not seeing Beth backstage,
we went back to the hotel for some girl-time!

Maddy!

Nicole!

Me, after the girls taught me what a *selfie* is.
*Note to self: Don't ever make that face ever again. Ever.

So then Kayla needed a haircut.
But I forgot to bring my cape,
so we scoured the place for something to use in its place.
Mary, brilliant mind ever-thinking, pulled down the shower curtain.
Voila.
We are nothing if not resourceful.

It was very humorous.
Very.
Very, very.

You'd never know it but Kayla had her wisdom teeth out on Monday and she's in severe pain
with dry sockets.
But, like a good little trooper, she mustered up a fabulous pose.
I think we're related.

Really fun girls.

May I just pause for a moment and say that it seemed completely appropriate at the time
that one would put on her PJ's, being that it was around 11 PM.
But somehow, now looking back on these photos, it strikes me as completely odd.

Absolutely adorable young ladies.

We had such fun!!!

I hope you can have a Beth Moore slumber party
with a few of your favorite friends soon, too!

And be sure to invite Beth.

And me.

completely paranoid now

Still not sure what I'm going to do with my hair.

But for those of you who staunchly said,
"For the love of God and country, COLOR IT!"
(Or something along those lines),
I'm not gonna lie, you annoyed me.

I am certain I could rock me some silvery hair.

I'm not talkin 'bout
crazy-old-lady-brillo-pad-life-is-hard-and-dang-it-I-am-bitter,
kind of hair.

I'm talking,
cute and stylish, chic and finely tuned.

But never mind.

You've made me completely paranoid now.

No, really...it's too late.

But thank you to those of you who did catch my vision.
You had my back, and I appreciate it.
I will be inviting you to a private party where we'll
talk bad about the others.

Just kidding!

But,
in honor of Beth Moore,
I might throw some flashy blond highlights in.

Because....

I am going to see BETH MOORE this weekend!!

Can. Not. Wait.

what's your favorite?

I would really love to know what your favorite
Beth Moore study is.

I haven't done them all (yet) but my favorite so far, I think,
would be Daniel.

Wow, if you want to learn to understand the signs of the times,
this study is a must.
If you are looking for something really in-depth to do in your women's group...
I highly recommend this one, especially now.
It will open your eyes, big time, to what's going on around us.

I'm currently finishing up Living Beyond Yourself, which is
available online. I love doing it at my own pace at home...
but I sure do miss my favorite Bible study buddies!
But it's a great study on the Fruit of the Spirit.

And that's why I'm asking YOU what study you like best.
I'm hoping to do a study this summer at our church and would love your recommendation.
Though, they're ALL good, I know!

So, let me hear from you...give me your favorite one...or two.

let's give Him a big round of applause!

"The more we applaud God,
the more likely He is to come in for an encore!"
