Well, I wish I had some pics to go along
with my little story,
but I don't.
:(
But it's funny, no less.
(Well, I think so anyway.)
Last night I got an email from Isaiah's kindergarten teacher
(his teacher where he goes to his homeschool
enrichment classes twice a week),
saying that the class had earned a party
for good behavior...
and that they could
wear their pajamas to school as part of the celebration.
Well, that's fun!
No one appreciates pajama day more than me.
(Which is almost every single day.)
So after I talked Isaiah into the idea early this morning,
that it was perfectly wonderful that he wear
his monkey PJs to school,
I decided I should re-read the email from his
teacher, just to make sure I had the facts straight.
Well, after an almost sleepless night,
when I read the email again, I interpreted it as the
party being on WEDNESDAY, not today.
I suddenly felt like a super hero,
sparing my little guy from all kinds of embarrassment.
I told him to get dressed immediately into normal clothes.
What a relief that I read that email again!!
I am THE best mom ever.
I totally saved the day.
However.
The minute we walked into school this morning,
Isaiah quickly noticed that all his friends were in their
night-clothes.
And HE was not.
Sooooo,
all I said was, "Oh honey, I'm so sorry."
Too bad, so sad.
Mommy really does need to learn to understand
instructions better.
Oh well!
To which his teacher said,
"Oh, I will run home to my house and get him
some PJs to wear!"
Me,
"Oh, really? That'd be great. Thanks!"
And so goes the story of this 6th child of mine.
The End.
Your nominations for Mother of the Year will be
greatly appreciated.

Yep! BTDT!
we went to a friend's lake house for a day this summer, and I remembered everyone's bathing suit except Gracie's. my friends were talking about the fact that I have parented a toddler in my 20's, 30's and 40's, and asked what was different this time around. I just pointed to my poor 4 year old playing in the lake in her underwear...that was on wrong( her waist was in one of the leg holes)...and I only have 4 kids!!! Hugs!
I only have 3--and I'm just satisfied that they have clothes ON and maybe some shoes.....lol....and I always mess up the fun schools stuff like wacky hair day or wear your shirt backwards or whatever these school folks think up that I have to add to my remember file. :)
I once forgot to go on a field trip I signed up to chaperone. To make matter worse I forgot to pack my child a lunch and the teacher had to share hers:( That was 6 years ago and it still haunts me. I think I have my mom of the year trophy around her someplace.
hahahaha Snort! I've done similar things--you are in good company. :) (If I do say so myself) I'm glad I'm not the only mom who does this kind of stuff. (Although, it does present a bit of a problem if we both get those mom of the year nominations...)
Love the post and lovin the responses!
Of course... I have never done anything like that...
Bahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Hey lady-- back off that mom of the year business. I TOTALLY have that in the bag this year. Or stars in my crown or SOMETHING dangit! lol oh my word, I totally do this stuff every dang day. Sorry. But glad your Isaiah had a teacher with spare pjs.(though I am wondering about someone that prepared. puh lease.
