a lucy conversation...

Unlike yesterday,
today has been most non-productive.
Though it's only 2 PM and I have high hopes to
do something to justify my breathing
space in my corner of the world.

Right

Anyway,
last night Lucy and I went to a meeting at a new
Christian school (well, new to us) that has
a wonderful homeschool enrichment program that she will
be attending.

On our car ride there, our conversation went as such:

Lucy:
"Mom, I really want to see Angela's baby."
(Angela is my good friend who is pregnant)

Me:
"Well, Lucy...once the baby is born we will go see it,
but right now it's still in Angela's tummy."

Lucy:
"Mom, how do babies get out?"

*Here we go again*

Me:
"Lucy, babies come out of a woman's v*gina."
(I have no qualms about saying it like it is)

Lucy:
"Oh my gosh. I am never having a baby."

Me:
"Yes you will."

Lucy:
"No I won't."

Me:
"Yes you will."

Lucy:
"Mom, I wish YOU had a baby in your tummy...
a really BIG baby."

Me:
"Thanks, Lucy."

Then on the way home from our meeting our conversation went
like this:

Lucy:
"Mom, I really want to drive a car...
but I do NOT want to go to kindergarten."

Me:
"Lucy, you are not driving a car and you ARE going to kindergarten."

The End.

For now...

I love that girl. lol, never met her in person but SO feel like I know her. I use the real words too and it seems to bother people. whatever. And um, really big babies was why I began adopting. lol Three births was enough!by the way, any way she could drive a power wheels to kindergarten... that could save you some time and gas money...

Priceless!! I'm tellin ya she is just like my Olivia!!
Hang on!!

My niece just started kindergarten and informed my sister after the 1st day that it was ok, BUT, she did NOT learn to read and she thought THEY were going to teach her to read on the 1st day!!
My kindergartener was a little more laid back. Her big revelation was that the kid who does not listen got hit in the nose during gym. She was "really glad she wasn't involved"!!!

I love that girl! She has met her match with you as her mama. :) I'm sure she will eventually produce a grandchild for you. But you'll have to make her think it was her idea. haha

Awesome. When my boys asked me how they all came out of my tummy, I honestly answered that the doctor cut a slit in there and pulled them right out! Yep.
