first day of school

Today was Macy and Eli's first day of school.
Bless their hearts.
They had to catch the bus at 6:53.
Which actually rolled by our house at around 7:08.
Not that I was constantly checking my watch or anything.

But they were excited.
Especially Eli.
The school supplies alone made him giddy.
Just wait till Christmas, kid!

Aren't they so cute?!!

There they go.
Bus #1.
The driver's name is Cherry.
Does it get any better than that?

Our tiny school district doesn't have an ESL program.
But the principal at Eli's school has gone
above and beyond to help us.
Like, WAY beyond.

She called this afternoon to tell me that he had an
absolute blast at his first day...that he participated in the
activities and the other kids were so eager
to meet him and everyone wanted to be his partner during
twosome activities.

I think he's going to fit in just fine!

Wow! they started school already?? Our schools don't begin until next week or the following week. The pics are adorable!! And how funny that Eli LOVES school supplies (don't tell anyone but I LOVE Office Depot!! and school supplies and the like make me giddy too!)

I just got back from 5 days in Mexico working at the orphanage with my 9 year old grandson so I've been offline for almost a week. Just got caught up on your blog....sounds like life continues to be interesting in your neck of the is Lucy feeling? When do you begin homeschooling?

Love to you from me!!

Awww...that is great news! How awesome that the kids are so accepting of 'the new kid' and want to help him adjust. Hopefully Macy had a great day, too. :)

Oh my goodness...They are so precious! So grown up! I'll bet the two littles are doing a happy dance to have Mommy more to themselves! :)

Way too cute!!
Tell Macy she needs to blog about her day!
I'm telling ya, we need to get my peeps with your peeps! Audrey could keep Lucy busy or the other way around. She takes orders really well. Her older sister is just like Lucy! Sheri

That is so wonderful! I hope this really is a good fit for them and you too. How are you doing? I keep thinking about you often. My kids start back to school the day after labor day...except I'll have Selah and Sami home with me...not really the "break" I normally look forward to but God's way is best.
