it's go time

The obligatory packed luggage photo.
Which means, today is the big day.

Early (awfully early) this morning I dropped my man off
at the airport.

I know it's sickeningly sappy...
but we are both heart-sick to be apart for almost three weeks.

We will no doubt be one of those old couples where
the husband dies exactly one week after
his beloved wife...
because of his broken heart.

I know, I know.

I gotta stop it our I'll end up in tears.
Again.

Please, please pray that everything goes smoothly.
The itinerary is still up in the air
because of the holiday in China next week.

But back here at home...I have grand plans to get a
million and one things done around here.
And when I told my dear husband this he said,
"Soooo, me being here has been holding you back from
getting things done?"

Well, no.

Maybe.

Anyway, I just figured if I fill my time with tons of productivity,
the next few weeks will fly by.
Right?

Please say, right.

Anyhoo...
I will be blogging about his trip.
A blogger, he is not.

But don't you worry.
Auntie Lori will keep you informed.
Very.

Have a great day!

Is it May 14 yet?

I woke up this AM thinking about you and that K-man was off to China today. Yes...the time will go fast because you will be busy and then blogging about his trip. :)))) You are a blessed woman to be so close to your hubby that you will miss each other so much.

Safe travels to your hubby. I can't imagine how hard it is to be apart. Continued blessings!

I'm impressed that he's going alone. My husband won't order for the family @ McD's. He won't call the phone company, TV repairman etc. Panicks over cashing a check etc.

Praying for safe travels for K-Man! I cannot wait to see your boys with their dad, very soon and then united with their whole family.

Being away from my family is the only thing that brings me down when thinking about going to get Keliah. It is not fun being away from all the other kids.

Awww...we'll be your support group!

We are like you, never more than two or three days apart. I would be a mess. But that's not helpful. So, anyway...

Time will FLY, sister! May 14 will be here before you know it! Trust me. You have four distractions running around your house. And just think, if you get bored, Nick could always bait the chickens again.

Hugs from across corn country!

Oh MY GOSH!! It is here!?! I will be praying for you all. I am so sorry it is hard to be apart. BUT yes! Being productive helps me a lot. My hubster always knows Some project will be done while he is gone. It helps me to pass the time(as if 5 kids wouldn't?) and it helps me to get something done because I know I want it done by the time he gets back. Can't wait to see the blog posts and pics and your sweet family all together!!! love you!
