something new {not}

This is a boring post to most of you, I know.

I know!

But, this is life as I know it right now.
Basketball.
More and more and more basketball.

I saw a momentary glimmer of respite coming this weekend,
with zero games on the schedule.
But apparently our Athletic Director couldn't stand for that.
And scheduled last-minute games for
both Friday and Saturday.

Thank you for that.
(Said with a bitter and sarcastic tone)

So anyway,
last night we had a couple great games.

And here are the pics.

Don't you love Nick's,
"I'm a big bear so I'm going to block your shot" pose?

Air, baby, AIR.
And if you look just under the H and C on the wall to the left,
you'll see Lucy, Macy, my dear husband and my parents.
It's the only pic I got of them so enjoy it.

A three.
Another three.

A quick steal and down the court he went.

Alright that's all.
I'm so sorry.

If you're reading this then that means you indulged me,
and I greatly appreciate that.
You are the best.

Now leave me a nice comment, at least to let me know you
were here.
I do so love to hear from you.

Oh and nine inches of snow is on the way.
That pretty much guarantees some sort of fun blog post,
depending on who gets snowed in with us.

Wow - you take awesome action shots! I might have to get lessons from you! That Nick is one talented guy & he looks like he's an agressive player too! Good job Nick!

OK - so doesn't the possibility of 9" of snow mean that maybe the last minute games could be cancelled?? Being snowed in with your sweet fam for the weekend sounds like WAY.MORE.FUN. than going to the games......just sayin!

♥ you!

I have a Canon Rebel. Although I really have no idea how to use it. There are a ton of options on it...and I only use one...the regular standard setting. The ONLY thing that gets these great shots is the fast shutter speed because other than that, I don't use this bad boy to its fullest potential.

But I do stand and take a ton of pics...and that helps too. I'm bound to end up with a few good ones.

And the biggest thing that helps is that after each game, Nick wants to see my pics. I LOVE having some great ones for him to see.

Your WAY better than I am. I can't seem to even start a blog. I keep meaning to! The 13 yr old boy even volunteered to help! Seriously! Sheri

I'm here for you, Lori...even when your posts are b.o.r.i.n.g. But your shots were great. I was going to ask you, too, what kind of camera you used. Awesome action shots. (and your post really wasn't boring)

At least it looks more interesting and action-packed than my sweet little 8-year-old's basketball games... which I loved going to, because I am his mom, of course!

All the best from a fellow benchwarmer,
Nicole A., now in LA

Love the basketball shots, you do a great job , I never get such good shots of Katie, she has a game on Sat and we can't wait.. of course before that we have snow on the way , oldest daughter has tamborine and flag worship practice at church (40 min away ) then back on Sat morning for ballet for worship team ,then rush home for basketball .. sometime making soups to freeze for youngest daughter who is having surgery next week and on soft diet for three weeks ..I guess our lives are kind of ordinary but soooo wonderful ! !
