peace and serenity {the answer}

Would you like to know how to achieve complete peace
and serenity in your home?

Give everyone their own electronic device.

Look how precious they are.
Leaving Mommy alone.
Leaving each other alone.

Macy, nice face.
Get back to your game, would you?
I told the nice people that you were leaving mommy alone.

By the way, Macy is addicted to Wheel of Fortune on her DS.
I count it as an English lesson.

So there you have it.

A precious glimpse at our quality family time together.
The bonding was enormous.

Don't judge me.

I understand completely! My group can all be on their computers "chatting" with each other, in the same room! I have no idea how I was ever able to bond with my sisters growing up-to naive to know better I guess :)

Lol..love this. I think this is very typical..especially once you have teens in the house. We are not quite there yet.....

Our grp entertainment is crafts...Jami doing her drawings, Lindsi doing something crafty, & me...reading a book....

A. I don't judge! I'm an enabler at my house!

B. I LOVE the face Macy is making. She is settled. She is family. Too cute!

C. I don't have anything to say here, I just like putting the letters down and typing.

Huh? Each one has their own device! Huh?! I need to win another laptop. The 10 yr old seems to be jockeying for the computer ALL of the time! She kicked the ds to the curb a while ago. UNFORTUNATELY! I was thinking about going old school like the woman on yahoo, for 6 months but the peace and tranquility in your pics is changin my mind!! HA HA Sheri

Wheel of Fortune--what a great idea for an older English learner!

you are hysterical. Yes, it is true. May I say before you do something rash like I did??? Um, if a kid needs grounding, let it be something other than the electronic device. I punished myself far worse than the kids.

haha- I was expecting a bible passage!

But this works!!

I think it should be counted as computer science, English, keyboarding, reading, engineering with an emphasis electronics, I could go on!!

They're happy - what more do you want!! Oh ya and Mom is really happy!

Nothing wrong with that! They are happy, after all! And you get a little time for sanity and peace. It's a win-win for everyone!

All the best,
Nicole A., now in LA

Our home looks like that too! As for the Wheel of Fortune, don't knock it, my mom practiced her english (we are french speaking Canadians) watching General Hospital and Wheel of Fortune (and night classes. It worked, she could have conversations with my teachers at school! (French parents did send to English school).

Now it's my 6 year old who is watching Wheel... but not General Hospital!

I'll take a G to good-bye Lori...
