a field trip

First of all,
if you must know...we still haven't told Lucy about our dog.
I know, I know.
Dysfunction and denial on so many levels.
Did you ever see the King of Queens episode where Doug found
out at age 30+ that his parents had replaced his dog
about 4 different times over the years because they didn't want
to tell him the bad news that his dog had died (multiple times)?
Yeah, that's looking like a really good idea to me.

Anyhoo.

We had a really fun field trip today.

The girls, my mom, and I went to see the play,

Alexander and the
Terrible,
Horrible,
No Good,
Very Bad
Day
*the musical*

It was so much fun!!

Why does my head look like it was photo-shopped into this picture?

We didn't eat at Fritz's but Lucy insisted we sit in the train.
(Again with me looking pasted into the pic)

The Christmas decorations were in full force.
Which only reminded me that I need to drag all my stuff out soon.
Sigh.

We had a fabulous day!!

When my daughter was growing up she loved that book. In fact today we still ask if we are having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. btw Doesn't Lucy realize the dog isn't there?

oh, the girls are so cute! um, I am a little confused how Miss Lucy has not discovered the missing dog!? As for what to say, um, well you could go the route of getting a new one. lol we went through at least half a dozzen Beta fish... lolol until I got "caught" when they ran out of red ones. my Riley was about 3. He said MOMMY! George changed colors!! WAIT! That isnt GEORGE!!!! lolol so, go for a similar breed. ;-)

I am really sorry about your dog. I have always been a "dog person" since birth, and so my sympathy is with you all.

That episode of King of Queens is hilarious! (Actually, a very funny show!)

Macy looks so pretty with her bangs pulled back. Lucy, of course, is clearly a rock star, too!

All the best,
Nicole A., now in LA
