Thankful Thursday

Debby, yes, Lucy is a Fu (Fuzhou)! And a very spicy one at that! Do you have a Fu?

And speaking of my spicy Lucy Fu.....her dinner fixins' are still not picked up. I thought for sure that taking away Barney would hit her where it hurts but apparently she doesn't love that big purple guy as much as I thought (well, I'm a bit relieved about that). Last night I said to her....

"Lucy, why don't you be a really big girl (this usually is very motivating to her) and pick up all your dishes and things!"

Lucy, "Wellllllll, it's getting dark outside and I'm tired cause it's nighttime (I think it was 7 PM). Tomorrow!"

Me, "Lucy, if you don't pick up your dishes and things Mama is going to pick them up and keep them for a while."

Lucy, "Welllllllll, Ooooo-K." *said in such a way that she was getting the better end of the deal.

AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!

So now my hands are tied. I gotta follow through. **sigh**

SPRING!!

The weather here has been incredible! I didn't think Spring would ever arrive but it's here and I'm lovin' it.

Hi! Daddy says we are going to kick back and relax!

Daddy, are we having fun relaxing yet?

Oh goodie! Yes, Daddy says we are definitely having fun relaxing!

Here is our view as we relax in the shade....are we still having fun?

I love my Daddy....but I'm doubting his version of fun.

Ok, seriously....get me off this thing. I've had enough fun.

I've been working on my laundry room.

K-Man added a ton of shelves, which is going to be so great. Is it a sign that I'm old since I'm super excited about laundry room shelving??

Because I. AM. STOKED. Super stoked.

And since you can see my laundry room from my kitchen...I wanted to make it kinda cute...
What do ya think?

THANK YOU JESUS for your blessings. They are too numerous to count.....

I'm thankful for my family.
I'm thankful for my home.
I'm thankful for God's provision.
I'm thankful for His grace.
I'm thankful for His mercy.

Mostly, I'm thankful for YOU, Jesus.....for Who You are.

I love your laundry room!! I think I better go clean mine!! of course I would have to step over mountains of laundry... again!

Love your view and especially I love you hammock!! Move over K-man!

Sorry you had to pick up the dishes! Anna's got me baffled often- this is a challenging age but so so so cute! I have one for you - if they are no longer in a high chair and the booster doesn't have a belt and they refuse to sit in the booster chair anyway how do you keep them sitting for bkf and lunch? Anna is up and down and all around. She doesn't listen to her momma! Argh

Blessings to all of you!

I know I have been really quiet lately, but still checkin' in. That Lucy is a doll! When she is the President, my Lily (also 3, with a very similar personality, I think!) should be in her Cabinet!

That Laundry wall looks great! My laundry room is just plain functional, certainly anything but pretty. Fortunately it is tucked away by the back door, so very few have the privilege of actually seeing it!

Have a great day!

All the best,
Nicole A. in OH

the laundry room is too cute. i hate laundry, so i refuse to make the room nice as it would be some brainwashing thing that would actually encourage me to spend time in there and do the laundry.

have you threatened to throw lucy's dishes away. that always gets jax now. and i've had friends go as far as picking up the toys and putting them in the garbage bag while the kids are screaming and crying, and then they hide the bag for a week or so.

I love your laundry room. I think it is so cute how you hung the little overalls and socks. I have debating on doing something with mine, but it just seems like so much work. Maybe this summer when I am done with classes...

ooh good idea on the laudry room. I am working on these things here too. Frantically trying to get the new girls' room first but, have mini clothespins and lots of little clothes. . . lol might have to take a break and go dress up a laundry room. ;-) I am climbing mt Laundry today. It has progressedto baskets with each kids name on them. so it is at least almost all clean. YAY!

Lucy's idea of relaxing looks like Faith's.
I like the laundry room too, mine is in the garage maybe it would stay cleaner if I dressed it up.
Ah the dishes, yep now you gotta pick them up and make them disappear

Just found your blog, and yes, you did a great job on your laundry room (and it is ok to be so excited about shelves!). We are headed back to C for our 2nd sweetie, too (we are also using WACAP this time)! Come visit our blog and meet us, if you'd like! mcnewfamily.blogspot.com.
