So yesterday I finished up putting pictures in an album for her. I wanted pictures of her new room but with Lucy sleeping in our room, since she has come home, there was only one bed in their bedroom (are you following me here??). I wanted Shu Li to see two beds so she would know that they will be sharing a room AND that we are already prepared for her to arrive. So my plan was to move Lucy's little bed from our room into her real room....just long enough to take a picture. I was scared spitless doing this because I knew my little chica would freak out. But to my surprise, she was amused by it. Even excited. Dumb founded, we got the room put together quickly as Lucy was giggling the whole way. I will never figure this girl.
This morning she woke up around 7:45, came running into the kitchen....scaring me to death because she always calls for me to come get her out of bed. The first thing she said was "Where's Shu Li?" Oh poor pumpkin!!! She thought we were getting her room all ready for Shu Li to come LAST NIGHT! It broke my heart. I explained to her the best I could that Shu Li won't be here for a while & that we will go to China in an airplane to get her very soon. She seemed to understand I guess.
Anyway, we shall see how tonight goes but YIPPEE!!!

The room looks beautiful for your girls. I know they will love it.
Yippee for Lucy sleeping in her bedroom. Hopefully tonight will be a replica of last night.
Good Luck.

Oh what a pretty room! I would want to sleep there too! Congratulations on getting your room back. :)
i love the room! and how exciting for Lucy to be in her room and exciting to see ShuLi's name on the wall!!!!!
The room looks beautiful.
I totally relate to feeling sad when Lucy was not in your room. We have had Katie in our bed for the past 3 years. When she has a "sleep over" in her big sisters room, I miss her. It is so hard to sleep both with and without her little feet right in my side:)
Oh... I wanted to thank you for the sweet comments on my blog post about our gottcha day. As crazy as it sounds after 6 years I sometimes I forget they are adopted. Telling our story on our Gottcha Day Anniversary helped me remember how excited I was that day.

Lori, the room is too cute! She will love it! And yippee for Lucy sleeping in her own room! (I'm behind on my blog reading, hope that hasn't changed in the newer posts). =)
