Elizabeth & Elijah's room....All glory to God for their safe escape.
I received a frantic call from Linn early this morning saying that their house is on fire. She was hysterical as you can imagine. She gave me her blog password and asked me to post from her blog asking for her friends around the world to PRAY IMMEDIATELY!!! All the kids are out of the house, thank you Jesus. But I haven't heard back from her despite sending repeated text messages.

Lori, I am a follower of your blog and Linns too. I am so glad no one was hurt but so sad they are going through this. Thanks for letting us know what is going on.

It doesn't matter what you want to do to help them. I will help you in any way I can. Whether we want to do gift cards, a chip-in acct. or whatever. I will help spread the word in whatever you decide.
I was so sick when I looked at her blog and saw the post a little while ago. I can not even imagine.

Too bad we can give her a shower. Maybe we could have a blog shower. Gift cards seem like a good idea...Bed,Bath, Beyond, Target, etc.

Oh Lori, I am weak at the knees over this. I cannot imagine how terrifying and heartbreaking this has been for Linn's family. Thank you so much for keeping us all posted.

My sister and I are also followers of Linny's blog. This is horrible news and I certainly can't get any work done at work. I keep checking for updates. This morning I also thought about gift cards but didn't know were to send it. A chip-in account would work too.
I don't know them but I feel like I do.

I go to church were Dwight and Linn pastor. I know that for now they have clothes, food, and shelter. I would suggest calling the church office (970) 247-7777 Kelly is the Church Administrator and she could help (with what they need or do not need) a lot and you can also email her at office@iriverchurch.com. From what I know of Linn anything you do would bless her heart and what she would value and love the most is encouragement and to hear that people are praying for her.

I think a chip in account would be great-- it would allow Linn and DW to purchase whatever is most needed. Maybe you could also set up a PO box where we can send clothing, toys, household items? I realize that's a lot of work for you but I thought a PO Box would mean no one was listing their home address on the web and I bet most all of us can send at least a few things (and many small donations add up fast).
Thank you for heading this up Lori. A chip in account might be better than gift cards just because it is easy to do online and they could use the money any way they need to. Maybe you could call the church - I'd hate to overwhelm them by having all of us call - and get the sizes of clothing that they need and find out where we could send it.

Thank you for keeping us informed so we can pray for Linn and DW. I think all of what you have mentioned to help them is great. Sending monetary gifts so that they could purchase what they need is wonderful as well as having a place to send clothing and toys.
