Ladybug Update and Other News...

For whatever reason, everyone in our area has been invaded by ladybugs. They are everywhere, inside and out! I am starting to think it is some kind of friendly plague from the Lord...but what exactly is He trying to tell us?? Who knows. And as I mentioned in an earlier post, Lucy's discovery of one of these harmless invaders on her foot nearly caused a situation in which the military was going to have to be called in. But, just in the nick of time, she suddenly had a change of heart & decided these lady-like creatures were worth her time to at least observe for a while. Now she is completely fascinated by them...though she still won't dare touch them, but she does want us to touch them for her!

Look closely...there is one of Lucy's tiny friends crawling around on the table & she watched it intensely for the longest time!

AND IN OTHER NEWS.......

We have enjoyed the first quarter of school sports-free. The boys kinda-sorta wanted to play football this year but we kinda-sorta told them they should sit this season out. And oooohh, it has been so nice to have pretty much every evening to just live as normal people. Eat dinner, do homework, chat on Facebook, whateva. But that is all about to change **huge sigh** because basketball season is about to start. Don't get me wrong...I absolutely love watching my kids participate in any sport. And now that they are big boys, it gets edge-of-your-seat-exciting as the competition is pretty fierce. But the practices and games (many are very far away) makes for a lot of late nights & just utter chaos in our household. And now that Lucy is part of the family...I really don't know what to expect. So, I'm bracing myself to enjoy & endure. And as you can see from the pics, Lucy isn't far behind from being on a team herself.
