study update

Ok, everyone...as I'm getting geared up for us to
officially start our Esther study,
I decided it would be must easier to have a blog
totally dedicated to that instead of
trying to intermingle my family stuff and study discussions
here.

Don't ya think?

So, if you are joining us in the study,

Plan to meet there often as we discuss throughout the
coming weeks the videos and homework.

And if you can't commit to doing the study with us,
you are still invited to pop in to read
what's going on.

Esther study update {and something exciting}

OK, gals.

Let's plan on next Tuesday, Oct. 19, to start our Esther study,

okie dokie?

What that means is, you will begin by watching the first video 

(the Introductory session),

then over the course of the week following, you'll do your homework. 

I'll post things throughout the week, so feel free to pop

in and comment as well!

Then we'll have a good hearty discussion the following Tuesday.

Some have asked exactly WHO is invited to join me in this...

EVERYONE!!

There are zero requirements.

You don't even have to tell me you're participating if you don't want to.

But for goodness sake,

please do tell me.

If I don't already have your email address, please send it to me.

There may be times that we want to share with the

group but not advertise it on my blog for the world to see. 

Oh and by all means, go ahead and get started if you want a jump start on it!

I got some new pictures of our boy!

(Well, a couple weeks ago)

And it's just killing me not to be able to post them here.

SO....I've started a private blog so I can post freely!

If you'd like to take a peek...send me your email address and I'll

I will say this, however.

If you aren't at least vaguely familiar to me,

NO OFFENSE,

it's just that the purpose of having a private blog is to keep it

from the unknown public, ya know?

 

Esther study {join me!!}

I am so stoked that several of you want to do the Esther
study with me.

I still need to put the finishing touches on the details of how we will
make this run smoothly week to week.

But for now,
here's a quick overview of how a Beth Moore study
works and how we will attempt to make this
as cozy as we can, even though we won't actually be
meeting in person.
:(

1. Watch one video a week.
The videos (10 in all) are available online.
Each video is about one hour long
and are $5 for each.
(Click the "Related" tab on on the site I linked to see the list of videos..
and there is also an audio only option).

2. Homework.
For the week following the video there will be
five days of homework.
I won't lie, it's often a challenge to get it all done.
Beth (we're on a first name basis) doesn't skimp on digging
deep into God's word.
Just do it!
Oh, and the workbook can be downloaded for a fee
or you can buy an actual book at a Lifeway store.

3. Coming "together".
Ok so we will gather here at my blog
(I'll provide the coffee)
once a week to chat.
For now, let's plan on Tuesdays.
BUT, I don't want to necessarily wait until
our weekly gathering to talk about stuff.
If something strikes you during the week,
by all means,
send me an email or leave a comment and we'll
do a mini-chat about it.

From time to time we will stretch our gathering time
out to a two-week span in order to allow
any of us lagging behind to get caught up.
So, no worries.

Ok, I'll leave it at that for now so not to make this
more complicated than need be.

I'm not going to set a start date quite yet...although I'd love
to get started within a week or so.

Right now,
I'd like to hear from those of you who want to join me.

And if you plan to order or go buy the actual workbook,
do that soon so we'll be all set to get started!
