Sunday was Macy's
SWEET 16 BIRTHDAY!!!
I can't believe it.
My little 4'11" 75 pound girly is a big ol' 16 years old!
I wish I could say that we had a gigantic bash with loads
of friends and family,
inflatable bouncy things,
and a buffet of endless food...
but we didn't.
However, we did have a lovely, quiet celebration at home.
Me, cooking biscuits and gravy.
We all love this often-cooked Sunday night supper!

Macy chose my famous cheesecake as her birthday cake of choice.
She chose this last year too.
It's a classic.
And you simply cannot go wrong with this kind of deliciousness.
Her daddy is sure proud of her!
Nick is....well, being Nick.

Macy was trying to take a pic of Nick and me.
And my dad got in the way.
This reminds me of the time we went skiing and he had
his lens cap on his video camera, in the bag, by his side...but the camera on as
he skied down the side of a mountain.
Guess you had to be there.
It was hilarious.
Here we go.

And this is the way K-man loves on his son.
Anyway,
it was a great little birthday party.
And Wednesday is Eli's birthday!
Which will be fun cause it's his first b-day in America!!

Looks like sweet Macy had an awesome celebration! Thanks for sharing the pics....my fave was the one with the hat. (You may not know this but many people refer to me as "the hat lady" cuz I wear a hat everyday, everywhere, never leave home without one!!)

I think it should be illegal to have biscuits and gravy AND cheesecake in the same hour. Just sayin.... :) I wish I could have my birthday at your house. I always choose cheesecake for my birthday too. Macy has such good taste. :) Love her new hat!!! Happy Birthday, Macy!!!

Happy birthday Macy! FYI - she's an inch taller than my grandma so she'll be totally fine driving around....Grandma used to drive grain trucks on the farm while sitting on a stack of folded blankets.
Is she really only 75#? That makes her the size of my very slim 11 y.o.
Ah well, we can't all be the same size. Happy birthday!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't get all partied up.
Biscuits and just gravy? Gotta post the recipe...sounds like something to fill in the corners in this house.
