today it happened...

This...

And this...

This...

And all this...

...can mean only one thing.

Today, it happened.

We took our baby boy to college today.

*Sniff sniff, boo-hoo, waah-waah-waah*
Repeat.
And repeat again.
And again.

I'm so happy and excited for him!

And I'm so sad for me.

No, he isn't going to OU.
He's just wearing that t-shirt to confuse you...and me.

So exciting for him. These next four years will fly by...even faster than high school.

Our sermon last Sun. was about how you have to let them go but you must keep praying for them everyday. Although I KNOW they have to grow up and go it sure is hard. I had a VERY difficult time leaving my baby at Ole Miss (9-12hours away depending on traffic) this summer and she was only going for the summer to a program for rising HS seniors. We skyped every night which was nice. My oldest will graduate from Jr. college this yr. and move away to the University. He has health issues and I am already beginning to worry... I KNOW I should PRAY instead.... ENOUGH about ME I AM PRAYING FOR YOUR MAMA HEART TONIGHT!!! Hope you feel the love of God wrap around you and your baby. HUG!!!

Can't remember for the life of me how I found your blog a while back, but we have a bit in common, and I love your sense of humor. Left my oldest at college last night...and my emotions were pretty much the same as yours...so happy for her, but so sad for me. This is so much harder than I thought it would be.

p.s. We have one 5-year-old daughter from China and are planning to begin paperwork for another baby girl this year. Nice to meet you!

It's tough! I've been through it 3 times. It's where you want them to be, but that doesn't make it any easier. Be ready for him to come home a differnet person. Hope you are soon feeling better. Blessings

OH I know that day!!! It will be etched in your heart forever!!!

Kevin just left yesterday to return to his senior year in college and I was sad to think this is the last year of him coming home for summers and breaks! But then I had to write his car insurance bill and quickly got over it excited that this time next year he will be writing it!!

Got me a little teary eyed! Brenden will be in my prayers. On a happy note, you look WAY too young to be a mom of a college boy!

Ohhhh, That is so hard... your first baby is off to college...

I'll never forget when we took Matt to college- cried like a baby when we left... but recovered quickly ;-)

And yes- you look adorable! Are you sure you're not attending the college, too?
