gotcha day {Hao Hao}

I got an email from K-man early this morning.
He said Hao Hao (Elijah) is very sweet, doing very well,
and is being VERY helpful with Mr. Little Toot.

And the other thing he said (about himself) is that he's extremely
worn out and terribly homesick.

Please pray for a supernatural dose of energy, strength,
and whatever-else-he-needs-to-survive-this.

At the moment they are at dinner (Italian, of course).
Then we will skype with them.

I hope to have pics to post soon after that but if my
tired man isn't up to sending me any,
we'll just have to wait, I reckon.

I'm a single mom in Colorado. I have two boys adopted from the foster care system and know well the exhaustion of trying to do it all by yourself. I am praying right now as I make lunches that K will be given all that he needs to survive the next ten days…

Even though your husband is worn- out and homesick (and obviously in need of prayer for the healing balm of the Lord to wash over Him which I have just asked for, btw), Elijah and Isaiah will be able to look back some day and see the great labor of love that went into your husband's journey to bring them home. Oh, what great JOY is this!

Your husband's loving sacrifice will show them what he would have been willing to do for them from the very beginning had he been given the opportunity. It simply shows a parent will literally go to the ends of the earth for his children. Amen!

So glad your family is somewhat united now! I will pray the remainder of the journey FLIES and that K-man becomes Superman once again!

Seriously praying for strength for you and for K-man. You both amaze me!

Hey Lori,
I've made two trips to China by myself, and even though I wasn't adopting two, it was still exhausting, for me it was being away from home that exhausted me. And just wanting to be home, which is funny because we dream of the day we can go, then we dream of the day we can come home! He'll make it, and when he gets home you'll be well rested to take over and he can rest. I'm loving following along, thanks for sharing!

Congratulations to all of you on your newest family member. I'll be sending lots of strength and positive thoughts to all three of them, and some extra too for the anxious mommy waiting at home.

I woke up an hour before my alarm today (UGH!!)- so I prayed for your guys who are so far from home. I can't imagine how hard it must be to be apart like this. Praying for you too, sweet friend!

I know I am late and am just now catching up to your blog. We were camping for a long weekend with no computer or internet! Please know I'm praying for your DH. I can't imagine how he is even doing this, only with God's strength. It is HARD and he he is alone except he is not. But still .. PRAYING!!!
