As of right now...K-Man is sleeping soundly
and will awaken to the glorious breakfast buffet at the White Swan.
Gasp!
I'm *jealous*!

Oh and funny thing...
this morning I left Lucy in the kitchen alone to go brush my teeth...
I came back and she was on the computer skyping with her him.
He called and Lucy had the know-how to answer.
These kids these days!
But sadly, K's microphone on his computer wasn't working
so we couldn't hear him.
Please pray that it starts working, would you?!

In less five hours from now...he is meeting Isaiah Jack-ster!

Sniff, sniff.

I wish so much I was there.

And here's how my day went today:
Because I know you care.

Well, even if you don't...I'm telling you anyway.

All my grand plans to get projects done & such...
are well, a foggy dream at this point.

Keeping up with everyday life here is proving to be difficult.
(Ummm, it's only been a day and a half)

1. One of our TVs quit working.
Okay, not a big deal.
But, still.
(Honey, it's the kitchen TV...sound but no picture)

2. I found a dead chicken today.
I wanted to cry.
In fact, I did cry.
And tried to scoop it up with a shovel to get rid of it,
just like any good hard-working country girl
would, but I couldn't.
I just cried.
I love my chickens.

3. I found K-man's camera cord in a suitcase that he
decided not to take with him.
Hopefully he can buy one there.
Or I'll cry.
Again.

4. Well, as of right now...there is no #4.

And for that, I'm extremely thankfully.

I will keep you all updated!
Hopefully I can fill you in on all the gotcha day details late tonight!

Oh and one last thing.
I really really can't stress enough how much I appreciate
your encouraging comments and emails.
And the fact that you are praying is triggering an extra dose
of God's grace on me.
I'm sure of it.

Thank you, thank you!

Lori,

I've been following along and praying too. I'm looking forward to seeing the gotcha day photos, and hearing about your days while you keep the home front runnning smoothly. Good news and bad news....good news is that time goes by so quickly and they will all be home in the blink of an eye. Bad news is that time goes by so quickly and these boys will grow up in the blink of an eye, at least that is what I find with my gang :-). Sending you hugs.

Oh Lori,
I am sorry about your chicken. I love my chickens too {and yes, my family really razzes me about it!}

I've been praying for you all and will certainly continue. I'd be lost without my hubby around too. He's my best friend and keeps me sane. LOL!

Can't wait to hear all the gotcha details!

Can't

Lori - be sure K-man has his sound on. We couldn't get our sound to work recently when we skyped our friends who were inChina getting their new son, and later we found out it was just our sound button on our computer turned down! Simple fix! Hope that is all it is for your husband!

Hugs,
janet and gang

Girl first of all you CRACK ME UP with your updates! God has blessed you with such a fun spirit! Second, from this Air Force wife you should know that things will ALWAYS begin to break, or kids will break a bone, or need stitches somehow at 3am, whenever the hubs leaves town. You will amaze yourself with your ability to take care of things on your own! Hang in there. PS No dead chicken advice. That is just sad. :(

Why is all the manly things happen when the man isn't around?? Sorry to hear about the chicken. Reminds me of the time I accidently sucked our baby chick up in the vacuum and it was only me home with my boys and the chick was one of my boys. Yes, I had to see if the chick made it through the vacuum while my son watched in horror! I wasn't that close to the chick, but it certainly was not something I wanted to see happen to the chickadee either!!!

Can't wait to see your new son with Kman!!
