Lucy had a ton of fun playing in the leaves at my
parents' house.
I think I'll put some in a box and give them to her for Christmas.
Just kidding.

Why can't I find that kind of joy in a pile of dead foliage?
Oh, the curse of being a grown-up.
Listen to this.
A couple months ago Macy entered a contest to draw
a poster, which was to reflect what the Constitution means
to her.
Well, as you can imagine it was a tad difficult for her
since she's just now learning about the great FREEDOM she
has in our super great country.
But, she persevered and drew a lovely poster.
"Adopted Into Freedom"
was her theme.
And guess what.
She got in the top FIVE out of almost 10,000 entries
nation-wide!!!!!
How stinkin' cool is that?!!
As soon as I figure out how to post a picture of it,
I'll post it for you.

I can't say I have the same love of dead leaves as Lucy, but the pictures are precious.
Congratulations to Macy!! Can you post a picture of her poster? I would love to see what she did.
Lucy, congratulations on your joy in the leaves.
Macy, congratulations on your poster! That is awesome, your mom should have shown us a picture of it!
Congratulations Macy!
I was showing Joseph a paper from Faith's K class. It was the Statue of Liberty and I tried to explain to him what it meant to the Americans. I said "freedom to choose where to live and go to church" He cut in with "China, no"
Now I'm not sure exactly what he meant..."In china we don't have that statue...or In China no freedom"
Just don't know what all he understands or has been told.

We have fallen in love with a child at An Orphan's Wish and are not sure if we are being called to adopt this child or to just intercede for a family for this child. We have 3 teens and 2 are adopted from China. There are MANY hurdles that we will need God to help us with if this is his will. Please pray for this child a family and for God to speak to us clearly if he is calling us to adopt again and if so to make provision for the needs.THANKS SO MUCH!

And sorry, but I'm with Lucy. There's not much better than a great pile of leaves. Or some on the ground to crunch. Maybe I'll box some up for myself for Christmas!
