adoption is a joy {and often bitterly painful}

I'd love it if you would take a look at

this post.

It is a sobering look at the painful side of adoption.

The part that makes most people shy away
from it and cover their ears to what the Lord is calling
them to do.

Because it is hard.
It can....is....messy.
It's annoying.
It is frustrating.
It's painful.
It sometimes even ends the
exact opposite from what we ever dreamed.

But it's a command from the Lord, despite all of that.

Take a look at adoption in relation to the Gospel.

This post is so great. Sad, but encouraging. It is a good reminder that just because things are hard, it doesn't mean we are doing something wrong or that we made a mistake. The Christian life is not SUPPOSED to be a cakewalk. Such a good thing to remember.

Oh something like this happened to one of my close friends. It still breaks their heart that it happened, and the heartache was unbearable sometimes.

But they still have another adopted child, and still encourage others in their journey because they get it.

Good, real post.

Lori,

thank you for the link. It is such a privilege to meet families who live the gospel. I'm incredibly thankful for this online world and how it allows us to encourage and sharpen one another - and to know that we are not alone in our struggles.

thankful,

tonia
