"jimmy the greek" pasta salad

My goodness.
I'm up late. Again. I hate that.
My legs are super wiggly...my eyelids are heavy,
yet I can't sleep.

So here I am.

I thought I would share with you a great site that I just discovered.
It's Pioneer Woman's cooking community called,
Tasty Kitchen.

There are a gazillion recipes that will draw you in,
leaving your mouth watering and your grocery list long.

But so be it.

And let this be your warning about the
"Jimmy the Greek" Pasta Salad.

I will admit to you (and no one else) that I ate exactly
87% of it over a three day time period.
I could have consumed it faster but I practiced
restraint, of course.

So head on over there.
Pick out a two or 12 recipes to try.
And if you think of it...let me know what you picked.
I'd love to know what's soon to be cookin' in your kitchen!

I just found that place the past couple weeks and I LOVE it. I made PW's restaurant style salsa and I've made it three times in about two weeks and it just gets devoured! I made rolls that were pretty good... I guess I've mostly used the PW recipes but I have a few on the TK site in mind for the near future ... Did you see the Homemade Ingredients post? I loved that! http://thepioneerwoman.com/tasty-kitchen-blog/2010/03/the-theme-is-homemade-ingredients/
(it's 1 here, and I'm going to bed, too!)

I have been following her blog/recipies for a while now! In fact she came to NYC and I didn't get to go, and I am still semi-pouting; whenever I think of it.

Yes, I will confess my sin. lol.

Good job on the restraint.

Only thing missing from that salad is the anchovies. Can't have a Greek salad without anchovies!!!

And I'm sorry about the insomnia. I get it in spells. My DR says it is hormonal and it is the pre-menopausal. I'm only 42!!! He said it's normal. He is a guy. I think he should have a little more compassion when telling me about it, but alas he is a guy. It's all technical to him.

Lori, I found her site over a year ago and use it ALL . THE . TIME .
I LOVE IT!!! I made the "breakfast muffins", you know the ones you submerge in melted butter then roll in a sugar/cinnamon mix, the other day. OH my word......DELISH!!!! The recipe is PW blog. I found a cupcake recipe that I want to try this weekend.....it has a pretzel crust bottom with carmel piped inside after baking..........yummm.

Lori, I too, found her site from one of my daughters about a year and a half ago. LOVE her recipes, and love the fact that she shows step by step. Speaking of "loving"...I love your blog! Keep up the awesome job! Fabulous family you have!

thanks for sharing the site lori. I will explore today. I want to have a full months of meals planned out for next month. No, I probably wont be the woman who cooks them all in one day because this woman kind of hates cooking. but really likes eating. so you know, you do what you gotta do. 87%. lol awesome. no other word for it.lolol I recently did that with something too. and yep, I DI repent. I rarely do emotional eating but MAN that was all you could call it.

although I detest cooking, I might have to check this one out. I love her site, but only look at her photography. :)

I love the PW site. I have not used the test kitchen side yet, but have tried and loved and not so loved a few of her recipes. We love, love, love, her meatballs and homemade BBQ sauce. No more store bought BBQ sauce in this house:) I also love her salsa. Altough be warned it is already spicy with the rotel, so adding 1 jalapeno makes it HOT HOT HOT! Super good though. I didn't love her mac and cheese (it has mustard in it and it's just weird). I also did not love her pizza crust. Maybe I just goofed it up!?

Funny you asked...Bow Tie Pasta with Oven Dried Tomatoes, Asparagus & Boursin are on the menu for Tuesday night! That site was a huge help when we were on that vegetarian fast. Yum!

I adore the PW and tasty kitchen! I have tried MANY items there! Where to begin! Try the "cake pops" or cake balls. OMG! SO GOOD!

My hubby says thank-you Lori,

I've made the Jimmy-the-Greek salad, and it's a hit. I added a the juice of two fresh lemon, just for the zestier taste. The girls loved it too. So, you know what we are having for lunch tomorrow. Thanks, loved TK site!
