Would you take a look at how advanced my child is?? Lucy is so smart and is even writing in Chinese characters....
Ahem. Well, so SHE thinks. And I dare you to convince her otherwise (believe me, we've all tried).
She also insists that the new words she makes up to say are Chinese words and that only she and Macy can understand them.
Poor delusional Lucy (I feel really bad that in reality she doesn't know a lick of Chinese, beyond Ni Hao).
POOR MACY (who just shakes her head in wonder...and is probably a tad *jealous* of Lucy's English!).
**And no, Macy doesn't seem the least bit interested in teaching Lucy any Chinese. Perhaps down the road a bit she will.

You definitly have a strong willed child. Hope you are still blogging when she is in high school. Fun times.
If SaraGrace wasn't older than Lucy, I would swear the two of them had been separated at birth. SaraGrace doesn't write Chinese characters, but she makes up her own words and phrases--in English and Chinese--and acts as though she is making sense. Gah!
Too funny. Maybe she could translate the letter from Gracie's SWI for us...We've had no success! Praying for you today friend!
Oh so cute! And the best part is, in Lucy's mind, she really knows Chinese! I hope Macy does eventually teach Lucy. I hope Abbey teaches Sydney too!
I love it! Something funny over here is that Sarah didn't seem to know any Chinese words when we met her, and she didn't seem to react at all when we would try to say things in Chinese to her. But now she giggles when we say Chinese words to her, including her Chinese name. And she says her Chinese name now, and always giggles when we say it. : )
too funny!
Nice to catch up on your blog!! I love those Chinese words!! :-)
What you need is an 8-9 yr old from China!
They know Chinese, they have no ideas yet what america even is, they aren't teenagers yet and they love their China- He or she would teach Lucy chinese. Sarah continues to give me lessons. She is disgusted at the fact that I can only count to 10. Next she is planning to teach me to count to 20- I said no way, too hard, how about to 12!
I planning out other peoples lives! Are ya game?
Oh-My-Word!!!
This is priceless!!! LOL
I need to record Elena right now, to show her somewhere down the road, just how much Chinese she knew!! Before she loses it.
Granted she will be in Saturday chinese school, it's not the same.
How much do I love hearing about Miss Lucy?? LOADS! lol. ( okay, your other kids, too) :)
