Lucy ran up to me yesterday and said,
"Mama, I have a BIG surprise for you!"
Me,
"Oh wow, really?"
Lucy,
"Yes, it's a BIG surprise!"
Me,
"Well, what is it??"
Lucy,
"It's a new baby for you!!"
Me,
instantly wondering if this child has just received a prophetic word...
or simply has a vivid imagination,
"Well...is it a boy or a girl baby?"
My curiosity has set in.
"It's a girl baby, Mama!"
Me,
probing to squeeze out more info...
"Is she a baby girl in China?"
Lucy,
"Yes, she is in China right now."
Wow.
I gotta admit...
I'm excited!
But then she quickly proceeded to
tell me she was also giving me the moon
as a present under the Christmas tree.
Alrighty.
Time will tell, I reckon.

She is right. You do have a baby girl in China who never got the love of a mama as a baby, so now you GET a lot of making up time as soon as China tells you to "come on down you are next to give a girl a mama!"

Ooooh, a girl baby AND the moon?! That will certainly be exciting! By the way...I talked to our agency today. They are still stubbornly saying we will most likely be traveling mid October. I like the Sept. idea better myself.
Don't you just love the things our little ones come up with? :)
I can't wait to meet this sweet girl someday:)
