Slow Boat to China....

So, let's chat a bit...

Jean, I WISH TA's were coming that
fast now-a-days but, no.
At least not for Hague families.

Sigh.

We are looking at 8 weeks until we get TA.
(Travel Approval for you who are out of the loop)

Yep.

ALTHOUGH, now that several
groups of families have gone through the Hague
route, the process is streamlining
and shortening slowly.

So it's entirely possible that we will get
it quicker...but I'm not
setting my heart on it.

Once we finally get our TA...we will
travel about 3 weeks after that.

So, if you do the math, that puts
us at around the first of September.

Fine. At least the humidity will be
lower in Ch*na (I'm really counting on that),
so my hair will look better
for pics, which is very important, don't ya know.

Here's our sweet girl...just the other day!
Thanks to Patty!!

She is very beautiful. She is so blessed to be able to become part of your family.
I will pray for quick travel approval. It will all be here before you know it.

She looks so sweet--and a little shocked that she's about to get a family. :) How precious it is that God put her there for Patty to tell her about you--and get a photo.

I've been to China in August and let me tell ya...I had to plaster (as in lacquer) my hair. Haven't been there in Sept., but October a few times and it was beautiful weather.

She is absolutely beautiful!! What a great picture!! I love the long hair in pig tails!

I have a feeling that you will get your TA sooner than 8 weeks. What is my feeling based on- absolutely nothing and I have a record of being wrong 50% of the time ;-)

I am so excited for you!!

Oh she is beautiful!! Congratulations on your LOA! I can remember what a relief it was to finally receive that precious paper. Praying for you, my friend. When does Shu Li turn 14?

All your children are beautiful! It will be exciting to watch your progress and journey with this adoption.

I though she had really long pig tails the first time I saw the picture. Then I clicked on it to make it larger and realized that the pigtails were really two other people standing behind her! HA!

I think it's great that you are involved in an "older adoption". It's something I've been interested in and been reading about. We are currently waiting to be matched for SN cl/cp, but no word yet.

Lori,
She is beautiful and what a blessed young lady to be getting a forever family! Our sweet little girl was also trying to hold her fingers the same way in the picture we were sent(I can't wait to share)! I want to know more about how you got a friend to take a picture for you.

8 weeks?? Hmmmm, that doesn't look good for us traveling together. Since our LOI isn't even in China yet. But my God is so Big! :)

She just looks like a sweetheart. I can't wait until you get to meet her!

Still praying....

Holly
