Bright and early at 6:15 this morning we received a phone call...it was the post office announcing that our much anticipated delivery was ready to pick up! 25 baby chicks!! Yes, that's right 25 live baby chicks sent via the US Postal Service! K went right away to pick them up and I'm happy to announce that despite the very cold night, they arrived safe and sound, all alive and chirping away! Lucy was quite surprised and excited to wake up to them this morning.
We will keep them in the house for a short time so Lucy can enjoy them then they will get settled into their new home with our other chickens in the hen house.

Oh my gracious! Those are just the sweetest pictures! It is also obvious that Little Miss Lucy has the big K wrapped right around her pinkie...too sweet! So are you bringing the chicks with you? Let's see: 7 kids,25 chicks, dogs, cats, kitties, 2 horses (one which will have as BBQ while you here -HAHA), two husbands and a couple of crazy ladies - D-town will never be the same again! I can't wait!
