sweet freedom {grumpy old lady}

I'm not going to sugar-coat this spring break thing.
I'm dying here.
I'm about to go out back for a smoke.

Last week the college people were here on break,
this week my Middles are on break,
and next week it's the Littles' turn.

Could we possibly coordinate our schedules here, please?

I am quickly becoming like one of those grumpy old women in the nursing home
who knows if someone has moved her stuff.
Or changed the lunch menu.
Or stole a pair of her polyester slacks out of the laundry.
Dang it, who has my polyester slacks??

Truly, intervention would be nice.
Someone get on that.

In the meantime,  I have my chickens to take care of when I need some respite time.
And do they ever appreciate me!
Actually, I don't think they even know who I am, or ALL that I do for them.
The theme continues!

Did someone say something about going out back for a smoke?

*****

Here is my little Isaiah-man who proudly brought me a branch to put in a vase.
Gotta love this little gentleman-in-the-making.

I have no idea why he has a rubber band around his head.
I don't ask petty questions anymore.

The good news of the day is,
K-Man is taking me out to dinner tonight!
GREEK food.
Sweet freedom, come to Mama.

And just so you know, not that it matters, I don't smoke.

ha. sounds like you deserve the break. At least your man appreciates you. I think you can count that your intervention.

GOL (giggling out loud!!) YES I AM!! I really needed a giggle right now so thank you for providing the entertainment.

Enjoy your Greek dinner, every single minute of it, every single bite of it. Cuz the way I see it, you're only 1/2 way through your spring break weeks. BLAH!

Love you!

Can I join you on that smoke?

Can you teach me how to smoke??!!??!

We can solve the world's problems and someone listens to our solutions.

Or we can just continue to deal with our reality. :)

And enjoy thos dates!!!! <3

My college boy does not get spring break, so me and the littles are taking 2 weeks! Well, maybe even 3, because DH is off for a couple of weeks, and we have lots to do.

I am sure your chickens know who you are, and love you dearly---how could the not!
