sold out

You know, as I was making my bread yesterday I prayed,
"Lord, help me to sell this bread."
Well, that was really only a half-hearted prayer because...
how was that going to happen?
I really didn't see how.
And I didn't give it a whole lot of thought after that.

Oh, ye of little faith!

All three loaves, SOLD.
In fact, I oversold.
I will now be baking on Saturday to take to my friend at church.


Oh, that God...He's pretty amazing at His job.




So this morning,
the littles and I are off to the new women's Bible study at church.


Oh, how I loves me some Beth Moore!
And fellowship with womens!

Have YOU done this study yet?



And then we're coming right back home to bake some bread.
Because I have none made (anymore) for my family.

That's a good problem to have, under the circumstances.

I'm muddling through payroll tax reports, blah, blah, blah!
I can't tell you how inadequate I am in all things administrative.
It is maddening.
MADDENING!

I'd much rather be our peddling my delicious Ezekiel bread
that I just pulled out of the oven.

carpet-angel

I had a cruddy night's sleep last night.
Wanna know why?
I woke up around 2 AM thinking that I should have taken a picture
of myself making a snow-angel on my new carpet before we put
all the furniture back.
Yes, that woke me up, and kept me awake.
This is how my weird mind works.
I was so upset with myself because that would have been so darn funny.

And don't think for a second that I didn't think to ask K-man
to move all the furniture back out just long enough to do just that.
But it didn't verbalize that idea.
Almost 25 years of marriage has taught me when to keep my mouth shut.

Anyhoo...

here's my after pic!

Please envision a chocolate brown bedskirt (that I forgot to put on).

And please, if you do nothing else today,
envision me making a snow-angel in my new fluffy fresh carpet.

larry the carpet guy {installation day!}

Larry the carpet guy is coming today!

Actually,
since Larry's the boss, he'll stay back at the shop.
Did you need to know that?

Anyway,
our bedroom carpet is being installed and I couldn't be more ecstatic.
Especially after the blasted trouble it took for
us to take out all the furniture...and stuff...pull up the old carpet,
pad, and tack board, etc. etc.
15 years of living sure does add up to lots of $%*&# junk.
Pardon my language.

I could go on and on about how we waited until last EVENING
to do all that.
I'm pretty sure that my eyes have finally subsided from
violently rolling at the person I sleep with.
(My husband)
(Just had to clarify that, lest any rumors get started)

So here's the before pics!
(The bed is now crammed into various areas of the house)

And the bulk of our furniture is crammed in our bathroom.
I had to climb over all this mess this morning to brush my teeth.
Oh, the trials!

CNY {fun with dumplings}

We had THE MOST amazing fun yesterday at some friends' house,
celebrating Chinese New Year with homemade dumplings!

My friend Joyce took most the pics.
But I had to grab the camera when I saw her eating ice cream with chopsticks.
This girl is truly one of my most favorite people in the whole wide world.
She loves Jesus with ALL her heart.
She has the most hilarious sense of humor.
And I just adore her so much.

Thank you to all our Chinese friends for an absolutely fabulous time,
filled with fun, food, and precious people.
