Cold and Flu Elixir {from this old wife}

My family thinks I'm completely insane for this potion that I drink regularly, but I tell you what, I swear by it (so far!), to keep the crud away.  (I did get Lucy to drink some, once.)

So, if you're as brave as I am (and I know you are), try mixing yourself up some and drink it fast as lightning! (Otherwise...well, suffice it to say that you don't want your brain to register the taste until it's completely down your gullet...otherwise, well, you can imagine.)

Here's the recipe!

2-3 tablespoons of organic raw apple cider vinegar  (affiliate link)
1 garlic clove, crushed
2-3 teaspoons raw local honey
juice of half a lemon
a dash or two of cayenne pepper
2 drops essential oils
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated ginger root

Let the crushed garlic clove sit in the vinegar for about ten minutes, pressing it a bit every few minutes to squeeze the juice out of it.  Discard to clove.  Add the rest of the ingredients.  Then you simply wait until your courage is all worked up and throw it back!

And of course, you could add more or less of anything, depending on what you have on hand and what you can tolerate (adding more honey is helpful to make it taste better!).

Your life will flash before your eyes briefly, and you will taste each layer of flavors, one by one, for the next 15 seconds.  But after that, the taste goes away pretty quickly!  It does!

So, the next time you're feeling something yucky coming on, like a sore throat...or a vampire, bottom's up!

Disclaimer:  I went to beauty school, not medical school!  This is just a little something that has helped ME, and I'm sharing it with you.  Make your own judgement or talk to your doctor as to whether you should treat your symptoms with this crazy concoction.
