The Sparkle Box,
by Jill Hardie

What a lovely story this is!
Lucy and Isaiah just loved it.
And the timing is perfect to start reading to your children, too, as we
head into the Christmas season.

An actual sparkle box is included,
and your children will be eager to fill it up by the time they
finish reading this heart-warming story, I promise!

This sweet book is sure to be a yearly favorite read to keep
our eyes on Jesus at Christmas time.

Hip-hip-hooray!
I have a copy to give away!

Leave me a comment telling of an act of kindness your family
has done during the holiday season,
and I'll enter you in the drawing.

(I'll draw a name on Thursday night!)

My daughter, Penny, was inspired by a book about a jar of pennies. So, she collected pennies and raised money to send it back to the orphanage where she was raised until age 13 in Thailand.

We love to go to the nursing home and help with their Christmas Shop- donated items that the residents can purchase for a small amount to give family since they can't get out to shop in stores. The kids help wrap the gifts. We love it!

The book looks awesome!

My company held a Christmas party for 25 kids who would not have had a Christmas at all. But my heart was taken captive by two little ones, brother and sister, who someone wiggled their way in. I asked the social worker there if I could possibly get some additional gifts for these two treasures and for their mama, who was struggling to bring them up on her own. It was SUCH a privilege to go shopping for this little family, and then to bring the gifts over to the Social Services office, so that they could deliver them to the mom just before Christmas! I got a bit carried away...couldn't just stop with a toy...they needed Christmas pj's, didn't they? And some books? And underwear and socks...and at least one new outfit...and a winter coat and mittens....oh boy, it was fun! Mama got a new outfit and pj's and gloves and a sweater and just some fun things, too. Best Christmas ever...for ME...hopefully for them, too. Well...best one UNTIL I went to China and brought home my OWN treasure girl, just before Christmas!!!! That one really topped them all! :)

We just filled 10 boxes for Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child, and we're collecting Christmas presents for teens in foster care. Thx for the chance!

We make Christmas dinner and dessert for a homeless shelter and then come home and celebrate our Christmas. Hope I win!!!

30 years ago, two older sisters from our church had no family left, so they were invited to my parent's home for Christmas. After that, until 2007, both sisters spent every holiday with our extended family. Sadly one sister passed away. Because of that relationship I'm now the remaining sister's power of attorney & primary care giver. Even though she is in a dementia unit-she still knows my family and enjoys spending the holidays with our family 36 years later. Pam

We buy gifts for our communities care train. For kids and elderly . We do samaritans purse boxes for each kid and donate to our hope center community kitchen . This we are adding thanksgiving to the giving with food donations and a trip to the apple orchard to pick apples so that every family who receives a thanksgiving meal also gets a bag of apples!

We normally take goodie bags to the kids in the cancer floor and treats for the nurses on Christmas Eve. Once we bought gifts for the bone marrow transplant kids too. :) That book looks like a great one!

We just filled three boxes for Operation Christmas Child and usually choose a family in need to help. Last year we were able to leave presents at the back door of a family who was struggling financially. So fun to drop and run. :)

We just did our first Operation Christmas child boxes - my girls LOVED filling them up with their favorite toys/items so that two little girls across the globe will have fun, too!

We helped a lady in a wheelchair at our store today. Seems everything she wanted was not at her level and we followed her around or maybe she followed us? And we helped her get things off the shelf she needed.
