Whew.
I have been so super busy this week.
Baking bread for people.
Doing hair for people.
Being a mother to people.
And to chickens.
It's crazy how much time all that takes.
But I am treating myself to a couple hours away
this morning to run errands, ALONE.
My neighbor is babysitting for me and I'm nearly
doing cartwheels.
You have no idea.
Actually, you probably do.
Anyway,
I need some dinner ideas.
Tell me what you're having tonight,
would you please?
Thanks, guys!
Love ya,
Lori

Tonight? Soccer practice night, which means dinner needs to be ready before we leave so we can eat as soon as we get home, so...chili 3-way. Good luck choosing!
Joanna
Well I make a wonderful casserole! Wide egg noodles, hamburger meat(I use ground Turkey or Chicken), whole kernel corn, cheddar cheese soup (I sometimes use Nacho Cheese), sour cream. Brown meat, cook noodles, mix all together and put in oven preheated to 350 degrees. Cook for 25 minutes and take out and sprinkle with grated cheese, put back in oven and cook for 5 minutes. When done cheese is melted and I make a salad to go with! I hardly have any left overs. Enjoy!
Last night we had spaghetti with Keilbasa in the sauce, small salad & Texas toast garlic bread. Tonight the girls are at ballet recital practice & will take some deli sandwiches, drink, ect...
Recital rehearsals are from 5:30 to 8 on TH through the month of May. I am catching up with friends & enjoying my evenings out! Who cares where I have dinner....lol!
Yakisoba noodles with teriyaki chicken and veggies, all mixed together in a big giant skillet. You thought I was going to say chili didn't you?
I put a roast in the crockpot for tonight. I am going to pull it apart for sandwiches. Life is a little nutty because we are packing to head to see the Choates and welcome them home:) Joanna and I are hoping for lunch alone one day this coming week to celebrate our birthdays while our hubbies watch all the kids.... CAN NOT WAIT!!!!
Hope you enjoyed your alone time friend!
I'm going to my future Mother in law's house so I don't have to cook! :)
Chicken (or Turkey) and Pasta salad.
Boil Chicken until done
Boil rotini pasta
Green pepper, celery, cherry tomoatoes, red oinio
1 cup mayo
1 cup sour cream
1 pkg ranch dressing mix
Cut Meat and veggies. Mix all together refrigerate until ready to serve!
Geesh, Everyone had a ham sandwich and chips.
Alright, Olivia and I haven't yet... Her softball game starts at 8pm. The others left for a 6pm game far far away so they already had their sandwich.
I shouldn't have read the other comments. I'm a bad mom... Sheri
We had lasagna left over from last night. It's always better the second day which kind of peeves me, since when I make it the first day I want it to be that good, too. But, leftover just can't be beat. I had only a mini-micro bite cuz I'm saving room for popcorn when I crash in front of the tv later. Gotta watch AI's result show. :)
Well, since I am just now reading this, I'm obviously no help whatsoever. I hope you really ENJOYED your alone time!!
I was going to say...if you are alone WHY are you cooking...but I realized then that 'good neighbor' is probably giving them back in time for dinner.
We had potato soup w/ lots of hard boiled eggs...spiced w/ red pepper and a salad...yeah I know..no meat...but I made expensive beef two nights running and they had some in their lunches today.
It Is so nice to have a moment to yourself!!
I feel the same way when I get "my time"!!
And dinner?? What's that?
Just kidding, just kidding...
kind of!
