the day I lost it {my mind}

I was recently going through old photos of Brenden for a
graduation presentation.

Boohoohoo,
is what I muttered through it all.

Then I discovered it.

The very moment that I lost my mind...long, long ago:

Brenden.
With birthday cake candles up his nose.
And lighting them.

Can someone remind me again why I'm sad about him
growing up?

So my mind continues to be...lost.

Life is just easier that way.

Boys are fun.
And dangerous.
And terrifying.
And hilarious.
And dangerous.

And I'm getting two more.

The ride continues...

Oh Lori, that is such a Matthew (my 12 year old) thing to do! I totally get what you are saying, there are days when I think, "you boys are going to send me over the edge!" But oh how I love them!! Boys rock! Now onto graduation for your son. How wonderful and how hard to send him on his way. Oh boy, I'm not ready for that yet.

That's hilarious! My husband has always told my daughters that boys are dangerous. He will just randomly say, "BOYS ARE..?" and they have to stop whatever they are doing and yell "DANGEROUS!" I see that he is right!

Yes, boys are incredibly adventureous and wonderful! I love my boys, and we are adding our #5 boy hopefully by October.
I love all the amazing things they can think up.
I still have a few years before my oldest graduates. I know it must be bittersweet for you.

I just have to know ...WHY?

But then if you could answer that one you would be a very smart and rich woman.

I am NEVER letting my two boys see that picture. They think up enough crazy stunts on there own. OK I know I have missed a few blogs, but you are getting TWO boys. Where have I been, I knew about one. Oh my, but you know what you are in for : ) and you are obviously the right Mom for them, lots of boy experience.

That is the funniest picture ever!! (says me, a mom of two boys who are "all boy," too!)

At least there isn't much that your newest boys will do that can surprise you ... well, let's hope not!

All the best,
Nicole A., now in LA
