this weekend, i...

Thanks, Becky, for this fun blog post idea!

*Took the girls to a very special baby shower.
It was Macy's first shower ever and she had a lot of fun.
What made it extra special
was that it was for my sweet friend who has waited 4++ years for
her FIRST precious angel...and she and her husband are FINALLY leaving for
China this Wednesday!!

*Caught Lucy under the kitchen table with a stick of butter.

*Went to Wal Mart on Saturday night. Don't be jealous.

*Had every intent to get a lot done around the house.
Mission not accomplished.

*Went to church. Great worship, great teachin'.

*Finished reading, Crazy Love by Francis Chan.
A MUST read for every Christian.
Be prepared for your world to be rocked.
Don't say I didn't warn you.

It was a good weekend.

Yea! I love regular, normal kind of weekends.....Fun idea for a post. Very hard to imagine how long people are having to wait to adopt from China these days. If Jami had not been SN, I would still be waiting......

I love the Crazy Love book. I read it early last year and since then have taught the study to my youth group and an adult Bible study class. It is definately a must read.

I like the weekend summary list too. Just might have to swipe it. ;)

Lori, Wal-Mart on a Friday night is a Big Event where my sister lives. She'll even call me to tell me about it sometimes. *grin*

WalMart on Saturday night? Whoa.

lol. :)

How wonderful to take your daughters to that kind of shower!! They can see how THEY were anticipated, hoped for, and delighted in. ( please excuse the ending with a preposition)

Good weekend!

Your daughter under the table with a stick of butter! Makes me smile.

My friend is anxiously awaiting her trip to China! So exciting to see pictures of your beautiful daughter and to anticipate their joyful reunion.

Crazy Love rocked my world too, when I read it. It is a hard read when you think about the convictions it brings. But such a good book.

A stick of butter! Oh, my.

And Walmart on a Saturday night. Was it a date :)

Congrats to your sweet friend on her new baby. What a gift.

And thanks for playing with us this week. It was great to have you :)

I've never caught Lily under the table with a stick of butter, but she does take every chance she gets to grab a handful from the butter dish. Yes, I said handful. It's disgusting and glorious at the same time that this Chinese child somehow inherited her fat white mother's obsession with butter! :)

The stick of butter totally cracked me up because our Abigayl LOVES butter, she is always asking if she can eat what's let on the butter plate... straight. When she was about 2 she ate almost and entire stick before I realized it and I'll never forget catching her and her response of "yummy mama, yummy!"

I too am reading Crazy Love and it's excellent! I agree that it is a must read!
Sounds like an awesome weekend!
Blessings,
gayly

I used to love to eat butter when I was a kid. My parents actually put it on hamburger patties to get me to eat! I now have a daughter from China who loves butter! Hope it doesn't catch up to her hips and belly like mine did!

We recently drove through Eudora...what a pretty little town. My girls wanted to stop at the swimming pool!
