OOOOEEEEE,
I'm so excited!!
I have a big change coming to
my blog super soon!
Stay tuned!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I have to tell ya something really fast.
*We have a really busy day and I MUST get off my bee-hind asap*
Macy and I went to the Chinese church yesterday.
It was great, as usual.
Anyway,
my dear friend Joyce translated for me
(as she ALWAYS insists on doing).
She sat right behind me and relayed the message
quietly to me.
Well,
suddenly during the sermon she stopped talking.
I figured she was taking a little break,
no big deal.
Then she said,
"I'm sorry, I am having a hard time translating
this because I don't agree with what is
being said!"
We both totally cracked up!!
And she later apologized for her commentary
during the service.
I thought it was hilarious.
I can't even remember exactly what the speaker said
that she disagreed with but
I tend to trust Joyce's theology (she's a graduate of Wheaton)
so it was fine with me!
Anyway,
maybe you had to be there.
Something funny happens every single time we go there.
Like the last time when the speaker's
sermon was on speaking in tongues....I almost laughed out loud
as I listened to it in...Chinese (and of course the translated version).
Isn't that funny?
I think so.
Ok, I've amused myself long enough.
I'm off to start my day!
HaPpY MoNdAy!!

Okay the door is open and I just have to say this- we have a priest that is from Vietnam. A wonderful man but his english is not where it should be- especially as a priest- preaching a sermon.
He was talking about the resurrection and of course that's not what I heard. Not sure about anyone else. He said it over and over again, each time I heard erection- numerous times, okay I'm starting to laugh all over again...
I know get my mind out of the gutter!
Have a great day! You seems to have something up your sleeve!
oh dear... now laughing hysterically at Lori AND JEan. lololol Oh that is stinking awesome!! lolol
love the new blog look Lori!
So glad you guys are still attending the Chinese church...how wonderful to have a friend who will translate for you like that.
Reminds me a little bit of how Lindsi's interpretor admitted that she doesn't interpret absolutely EVERYTHING she hears to Lindsi....lol....(that was last year when Lindsi had a teacher with a very short fuse)
I already see some changes to your blog and I LOVE THEM!!! ♥ And the updated profile pics of your precious children are awesoome!!
Thanks for the funny story about the Chinese church! I'm so glad that you & Macy are enjoying it!
Love to you from me in Durango!!
You crack me up! :) Love your new blog look--awesome!!
OK, well I laughed out loud. It was funny to me! Doesn't take much these days as I'm mostly crazy I think thinking maybe I dreamed we were actually going back to China. Grrr! So I needed a laugh today. We *thought* we were going this week for our Joel, but that is not going to happen.
About Chinese church, I really want to chat with you more about that. We have one here locally but I need to ask you some questions. I'v fished around and … well I'm just not sure. Would love to pick your brain on it. Would love to share something else to privately.
Here is an email: cljjs @ yahoo . com (remove spaces)
I'll email you back with my main email that I don't want to put on here b/c I forget to check the above one. Hope that makes sense!
:) Leslie
P.S. Thanks again for the laugh. I really needed it. And Jean's comment helped too! LOL!
