how'd he do that?

Thanks for asking...

Well, I can at least tell you how he did the easy part...

Since we don't have a tri-pod, he brought in a big step ladder and taped my camera to it (gasp), ensuring that it wouldn't move (he wasn't nearly as concerned about it falling...as he was that his end product wouldn't be a success if it moved at all).

Then, he simply took pics of himself (actually, I think Nick was the photographer...I'm really not sure, all this took place while I was at the dentist with the girls).

After that, all I know is that he used Gimp to put it all together. And that's where his self-taught abilities came into play.

Oh, and the cigar was left over from his Halloween costume...

He made it out of a dowl (sp?) rod. It looks super real...even in real life. The kid is a genius. I guess this is what happens when homeschoolers get bored...they use their imagination. Imagine that!

Well that is just too funny! And stinkin' creative, which makes me want to try it now. :)) Maybe I could project photos of like that on every wall in my house so that my kids would think I was looking over their shoulders when they are tempted to get into things they shouldn't. hee

Impressive. I do good just to get one picture taken. That took a lot of thinking and planning. You couldn't have invented a better home school assignment to work on his creativity. Love the initiative!

I'm such a dork! I thought he really had a bunch of guys over playing poker. I think I need some sleep!

What a great picture- I can't believe he could do that! I looked at it... and then took a double take- hold it- is there more than one Brenden in that house. Has the Momma been playin us and she really had quintuplets! Oh my, what a crazy home that would be with 5 Brendens!

I love his creativeness!

You are so right about homeschoolers being forced to use their creativity! My kids (especially Josh--he is the next Brenden) are not allowed to watch TV after school time or play video games at all most days, so they are REALLY creative. It always makes me feel better on those days when I feel like I am doing a horrible job homeschooling. ;)
