We are starting a new adoption ministry at our
church and our very first project is
raising money for the Morning Star Foundation!
We are taking all the proceeds from our
coffee bar (last week and this coming week),
and buying much-needed items for the precious
babies that Bill & Lynsay are caring for.
K-man and I simply can't wait
to delivery it all!
Well, I gotta tell you...
last Sunday being Labor Day weekend
did not help in our attendance at church.
At.All.
We go to a small church anyway,
but over a big holiday weekend...
not many people show up.
But,
I didn't even let that phase me.
God is GOD!
I sat and watched the donation
jar get stuffed FULL.
All together we raised
(from last week ONLY),
$415!!!!
I was SHOCKED.
Well, not really.
Our church family is VERY generous.
Our pastor has taught over and over on
how important it is to GIVE...
give, no matter what.
To trust God's plan...not our worldly economy.
So, here are just a few of things we have purchased
so far!

I have a feeling we will run out of space
way before we run out of money!!!
Don't worry...
I've got another suitcase!
Isn't that just like GOD?!
THANK YOU
to my Family of Faith friends!!
"Give, and it will be given to you.
A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over,
will be poured into your lap.
For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Luke 6:38
Golly, I simply can't wait to see what God
will do this Sunday!!

WHOOP WHOOP! That's awesome!! Better save some of that money back to pay the WEIGHT fee for those suitcases!
HAHAHAH!
AWESOME!!!
Oh Lori,
Don't you just love packing for all these little ones?! When we traveled in Jan. Our whole family went, my parents flew with the kids and I early to see some dear friends in Hangzhou. There were 8 of us who check in that day at the airport along with 16 Pieces of luggage! 10 of those were UHaul Packing boxes that still fell within the luggage size and they were completely full of items for sweet little ones at Hope Foster Home & Starfish Foster Home! People thought we were moving to China that day:)
Drop me an email- I can tell you about packing in the boxes if you want- you often and get a lot more items than in a suitcase that way:)
Blessings,
Gayly
Wow...that is FABULOUS!!! God is SO GOOD!!! And what a wonderful way to be a part of what He is doing. So cool that you let your church be a part of it all! :)
You'll make room in those suitcases, right? I mean, K-Man can just wear all of his clothes in layers. No need for him to have a suitcase. :)
awesome!!! I wish I was there to help!
Wonderful!! That is so great! They will be thrilled to get the supplies for their babies!
I can hardly wait to follow you in China!! I am so excited to hear more about the morningstar project and Shu Li!!
I love seeing God's people using His resources to take care of the fatherless. So great to see this ministry at your church.
Ah Lori, that is amazing! Please tell everyone we thank them so much!
I agree with Gayly, I ALWAYS come home (back here) in Rubbermaid tubs, no luggage. The luggage always adds nearly 10lbs. I have only ever got to 45lbs when I packed and stuffed, and that was only once. All the other times it has been under 40lbs. I think they are the 18gallon size that are the right size...I will look and let you know. Then we drill holes in the all four sides (top and bottom) and secure it with some type of wire, that way security can still get in without destroying it and losing everything!
Love you! See you soon! (ps, I had a weird dream about you and SL last night! Makes me laugh this morning!)
Hi! I'm just testing out my comments. I simply can't stand the thought of not seeing your kind words while I'm in China so I'm testing it to see if they will go directly to my email.
Okie dokie...hope it works!
SO COOOOL! Our God is SO GOOD!
I'll be watching next week. Have fun, a lot of fun, this will be a different kind of a trip of a lifetime since you are going to bring a teenager home! We will be praying for you! All of you!
Teanne
