An IMPORTANT Question for YOU...

For each and every person reading this today, whether it's just one person...or many, I have a question for YOU....not as a group, but as an individual. YOU. Yes, YOU.

Do YOU have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?

Please don't misunderstand....

I'm not asking if you go to church.

I'm not asking if you are Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, etc.

I'm not asking if you live a "good" life, doing good deeds.

My question for you is...have you had a moment in your life that you consciously made a decision to follow Christ?

If not...I am here to ask you to consider doing that today. I care about each of you way too much to not share the love of Christ with you. There is such freedom, joy, peace...and most importantly, eternity in a perfect heaven where there will be no more tears, no more pain, no more sickness or death. That ONLY comes through Christ.

It's your free gift from a loving God who made you and gave you the freedom to choose because you see, if He had made us to love him without choice (and He certainly could have), it wouldn't be love at all. But because sin separates us from God, we must have a Redeemer, a Savior...JESUS.

Please choose life today by sincerely praying this prayer (doesn't have to be this exact prayer...your own words are best. But this gives you an idea of what to say):

"Jesus, today I choose to follow you...I surrender my life to you. I am a sinner and I ask that you forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness through the blood you shed for me when you died on the cross. Be my savior from this day on."

It's as simple as that. If you prayed that and meant it, friend you are now my sister or brother in Christ. Though we may never meet on this earth, we will have eternity in heaven to get to know one another....and I can't wait!!

Please consider leaving a comment or email me if you made that decision today...I would love to rejoice with you and pray for you by name for your new walk with the Lord.

And if you already know Christ, I think it would be great if you left a comment, boldly proclaiming your salvation through Jesus...or better yet, briefly share your story of how you came know Him. Perhaps your testimony would lead to someone else coming to the Lord....

Hey Lori! Great post. I have a question about the Wild Olive Tees. I LOVE THEM I'm wanting to get the Sing Praise one, but have a question about the sizing. It says they are "fitted" but I have no clue HOW fitted they are.

I normally wear an adult medium (regular) for my t-shirts. What size would be best for me to get? I'm dying to get one! They are soo cute!

Thanks!

Lori,

Love this! It is so nice to see that many bloggy buddies are also followers. I have been a Cristian all my life, as well as had a relationship with Jesus. But I have to admit that it wasn't until we adopted from China that I truly saw whatt a miracle worker He is. As we begin to embark on a new journey, I have faith that He will again break down any walls that we may encounter.

Awesome post!

I came to know the Lord at age 15. I grew up mostly in church, but my church didn't talk much about what it meant to be saved. I assumed I was saved because I was a really good girl, and I loved God, and "felt" like I was saved. But when we started attending another church, everyone kept asking me if I was saved, and it didn't feel right when I said yes. I know now it was the Holy Spirit letting me know I was not a Christian! I had no peace. Finally that summer at teen camp, I committed my life to the Lord. I realized just believing in Jesus and what He did for me was not enough. Even the devil believes! I had to truly repent of my sins, and accept Him as my personal Savior. If someone is reading this who doesn't know what I'm talking about, here it is. We are all born with a sin problem. (Romans 3:23) Since we all sin, the Bible says we "come short of the glory of God." Sin keeps us from fellowship with Him, and we cannot enter heaven! But God knew we cannot be perfect, and so He made a way for us to have fellowship with Him and to have eternal life with Him. He sent His Son, Jesus to be crucified on a Roman cross, to pay for our sins. Through His blood, we are made righteous in His eyes! Jesus rose from the dead 3 days later, and then later ascended to heaven, where He is today. All you have to do to accept His gift of salvation and eternal life with Him is to repent of your sins, believe that Jesus died to pay for those sins, and ask Him to be your personal Savior. It doesn't matter what words you say, and there is no special prayer. You just have to mean it in your heart. After I truly became born again, I never doubted my salvation like I had before that. God gave me a perfect peace that I can't explain. He can do the same for you!

I've been a Christian for over 30 years, but I am still amazed at the things I need to learn and re-learn.
Trusting Jesus to supply and being able to witness etc. Now I get to "meet" people like you and Lynsay "Stinky Tofu" and see the mighty hand of God producing miracles in today's world.

In January, I celebrated 20 years of my personal relationship with Christ. It's hard to imagine where I would be today without His love, grace, forgiveness, peace and guidance in my life. Praise Jesus!!

I've been a "Christian" since...ever. lol. But I never really took it seriously until about last year or the year before. I rededicated my life and committed my will to God only fairly recently. Good post, Lorie. Love you!
