Room of Treasures

"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures." Prov. 24:3,4

With the exception of a few little finishing touches, Lucy's room is finished. I wish you all could stop in for a cup of coffee & bask in the beauty of this sweet girl's palace. Pictures don't quite do it justice but to really stand in this room and feel the calm & peace that resides there is soothing to the soul. And though much was done to change the cosmetics of it (once army-green and very boyish), the peace comes not from the colors or new decorations, but from the anointing of God. As hard we worked on this room, we prayed even harder over it. I hope Lucy feels comfortable right from the start & senses God's presence in her room & in our home. Because there is no greater peace than that that comes from our God whose peace transcends all understanding.

"But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15

I admit...Kelly did 90% of the work!

Brenden's Entry

"We were looking at years, but He turned it into months. We were facing the odds while He was looking at her. 'Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever.' The Lord has greatly blessed my family with my baby sister. I still find myself asking: how, out of one hundred and forty-eight families were we chosen? He is the only explanation for this great act of love. So, indeed give thanks, for He is forever good!"

By Brenden

**This is a portion of a paper Brenden wrote for school. He has such a sweet, gentle spirit and is a gifted writer. I am so very proud of both our boys, they are respectful, godly young men. -Lori

TA!!!

We got our TA today!! We are scheduled to leave for China on May 29. We are waiting for our Consulate appointment to be made, which should only take a few days, then we will make our flight reservations! Our visas are being processed and should be here on Monday, April 21. Things are moving right along! :)

Please pray that we have no problems booking our flights and that we can easily get four seats together!

We are also waiting to get updates on Lucy (pictures, weight, height, etc.). I will post that info just as soon as I get it! Hopefully within the next few days.

Sorry, no pictures to post. I do have some pictures of her room that I will try to get posted tomorrow.
