eat 'em up

This little boy, our youngest and LAST of six,
can never ever accuse me of not
taking pics of him
because he is the youngest and LAST of our bunch.

He definitely gets the most attention around here, camera-wise.

He loves his little broom.
And when we had leaves and branches blown about
by a storm the night before,
he wasted no time getting busy cleaning it up.

Backpack and all.

And he is our one child (and LAST) who loves, loves, loves
to go visit the chickens and gather eggs.

Couldn't you just eat 'em up?

And the eggs are pretty good too.

  1. Oh where did you find that perfect-sized broom and dustpan? Kaylin is always wanting to help me sweep, but I haven't found one her size.

And your LAST child is absolutely the cutest little guy!! And who doesn't love a helper, too??!!! :)

Thanking you for making sure we understand he IS your LAST!!! Is that just in case you change your mind that we can remind you? LOL!! HUGS!!

  5. Yeah, I don't believe he will be your last child either. In fact, I think it is a cryptic message in your emphasizing LAST...like oh boy do I have them fooled.

  6. I'm SO glad to hear that you're NOT finished growing your family. Just the fact the that your little man is the LAST, YOUNGEST child you'll have..... more OLDER children are possible. That, my sweet friend, is what I am hearing!!! Just saying.....

    Snicker, snicker, wink wink..

  11. so you have NOBODY fooled my dear. Nobody. We have all had "last" children too. And God has laughed. I am sure several times.
Elaina is my last. oh good heavens is she my last.
    But then again, who knows?!
You know better, in fact, I think you were just trying to get a rise out of some of us who simply refuse to believe you. And if you ARE serious, or think you are anyway, I give you 6 months before you change your mind. Just sayin... :)
    Blessings,
    Holly

  18. bahahahaha....Chloe was our LAST, too. And then SaraGrace, Jordan, Jake, Zoey and Kate. And what is really funny is that I would be willing to adopt again, but God doesn't seem to be bringing any more to us and I think maybe we really ARE done?

  25. He cooks and takes care of the yard AND the chickens? Oh my, send him right over!! That smile is enough to put anyone over the edge! I have told Audrey (5) more than once that if she had been 1st her cute little pouty face and crocodile tears would have gotten her really far. But she's #3 and I am a hard old mama now. Sheri

  26. My dear brother always quotes a country song,"Ya wanna hear God laugh? Just tell him your plans!". They have a couple LAST kids that run around with our herd of LAST kids. :). You wouldn't block me from your blog would ya? ;)

  27. Last, yeh and my van only has 1 seat left in it after Jenna and AJ are home--which holds an organizer thingy with our necessities..so we must be done. However, I did check and find out that I can have one of my 2 seat benches changed out for a 3=). We are currently saying that we will not pursue any more adoptions, but if someone drops a situation in our lap, we would not turn it down.

  28. Okay, I just found your blog via Elisa. It is SO GOOD to see Isaiah smiling. I don't think I saw one smile all those times I saw him in GZ with K. And I feel like we saw him quite a few times in just a few days. He certainly has a delightful smile! (And I'm with you...I'm done, but only have 2...I've been telling God I'm done, but I have this feeling that just maybe I'm not...but I want to be...especially with the girls...lol).
