be still my heart

While I was busy cleaning up from dinner tonight,
Lucy was busy getting her Barney
put to bed.
She came and told me that she read him a book,
put his pajamas on and told him that
he didn't need the dimmer on the lights turned up too bright.

Then she said,

"Mama, am I a sweet mama, just like you?"

Oh child,
all your stubborn meltdowns from today just
vanished into a vapor.

  1. Ahhhh...love those moments! It just gives you such a lift of encouragement after dealing with a strong-willed child and wondering if they will ever get with the program. So happy you had that sweet moment with Miss Lucy. :)

  3. Sweet, sweet, Lucy. I love seeing Mylee playing with her babies because I know she has learned her patience and loving touch from me.

I saw your comment on Adey's blog. Let me know if you want a facelift, I love doing the blog makeovers.

Yeah, I live for, little moments,
When she steals my heart again and doesn't even know it,
I live for little moments like that.

Yeah, our little daughters do that sometimes don't they?

  13. Hi Lori,

I just found your blog on Stef's. I just wanted to say hello and tell you how much I enjoyed reading your blog. We are almost DTC for adoption #2 and this time around our daughter will be 8 1/2 by the time we bring her home. Your post about Macy at the DRs office brought me to tears because I know my daughter will feel a great loss leaving China too. Overall, how is she doing? I have a feeling I'll be stalking your blog...LOL... =)

    Many blessings!
