Oh....I just might. {And I did}

PLEASE accept my apologies in advance for this post....

As you will see, I'm desperate for something
to blog about.

I debated...should I, shouldn't I?

K-Man said, "You aren't really posting that, are you??!!"

I said, "Oh.....I just might."

And here I am....with no cute pics of Lucy to share,
no great stories....
nothing.

Except this.

Reusable, knitted........tampons. *GASP*

If I wasn't already annoyed enough at tree-hugging environmentalists,
this confirms it.....
I will NOT be participating in saving the earth.

  4. By the way, I wonder how many Google hits your going to get on your blog now for posting this. I have gotten hundreds of hits from the "getting drunk via tampons" post!

  5. Well, that woke me up this morning! I was sitting here, leisurely reading emails and blog posts - then it is HELLO!!! What on Earth!!!

Being a knitter myself, having thought of anything and everything under the sun as a project, and trying to be thrifty, even I have my limits :o)

    WHOA!

    Thanks for the smile :o)

  6. I just recently saw a site that had reusable pads and had decided that I would continue to destroy a tree or 2... don't plan to try to reusable tampons either! ICK!
    Have a blessed day!

  7. Reminds me of Leno's Ebay searchings for SOLD or NOT SOLD....I'd say that would be a NOT SOLD.......

  8. EWWWWWWWW....that is soooo gross!!! That is carrying the 'hug a tree' thing waaay too far. What about the cost of curing the infection you will get from reusing them? How many natural resources would that waste? :) And I won't even get started about the smell...blech!! :)

  9. well, the knitting doesn't seem tight enough to be quite absorbent,. i think it would just be messy. and i'm not all about washing tampons. nope, this one isn't for me and my tree-hugging ways.

  10. So funny, I thought they were going to be little toy mirophones for kids. Um, gosh I was wrong. Yes that is amazing. I too will have to draw the line there on earth saving. And I used cloth diapers on a few kids!

  16. My luck and the dumb things would unravel while removing!
My mom talks about their reusable pads they really did wash them and hang them on the line to dry of course hiding them behind the other clothes so no one from the road could see them!
There were 6 girls in her family, CAN YOU IMAGINE?

  18. I just had a friend try to convince me to try her "reusable" pads. I politely declined, but had she offered these, she would have gotten a rousing "HECK NO!" That is just wrong...

  19. I'd love to know the Obama White House policy on implementing these in their vending machines....

Every little bit helps... set the example Michelle O....

  20. Well I suppose the only thing grosser is to all walk around with split britches once a month like the kids do around here........uh hum....gross. People who use these might save a plant somewhere, eventually, but at the cost of losing any credibility....not really worth it. I think I'll just go plant a few flowers, makes up for the 1 I will eventually kill by my disposable habit.
