seemingly sweet

Let me tell you a quaint little story.

Once upon a time,
there lived a sweet little brother and a seemingly sweet big sister.

One day,
Sweet Little Brother and Seemingly Sweet Big Sister
were playing together, nicely...
or so it began.

The two were having fun with paper dolls.

Seemingly Sweet Big Sister said to Sweet Little Brother,

"Sweet Little Brother, do you like the outfit I've put on my
paper doll?"

Sweet Little Brother said,
"Uh huh."

Seemingly Sweet Big Sister, not satisfied with that answer,
repeated her question...this time, with much fervor,
"Sweet Little Brother, I said, do you like the outfit I put
on my paper doll?"

Again, Sweet Little Brother said,
"Uh huh."

Enraged by such a passive answer,
Seemingly Sweet Big Sister threw the paper doll
(which was actually made of wood)
straight at Sweet Little Brother and said,
"You are supposed to say, YES."

And so ends our quaint little tale.

The moral of the story:
If you want to shape a future hen-pecked husband,
follow the example of Seemingly Sweet Big Sister.

"Better to live on a corner of the roof
than share a house with a quarrelsome wife."
Proverbs 21: 9

  6. Those "paper dolls" look familiar..our PD has them listed under 'weapons"
Poor little brother he is going to have to learn to duck.
My husband just advised joeseph that when it comes to clothes...just listen on the women.. it is much better. Got him taught, gotta work on the high water-tight belt lovin boy in the house.

  11. Poor little guy!
We really need to start a support group for the families of future quarrelsome wifes!
Don't think I haven't thought about the man that Olivia may marry. Besides praying for the perfect man for her I pray for him....!!! Some days I think that childhood is short and we CAN get her (and the rest of us) to adulthood in one piece! Other days I'm not so sure!!
Keep us in your prayers today...Today is tonsil day for the above mentioned child. Sheri
